randy, The guns we offer are for California. They require special parts to make them legal to even import into the state. The higher price is due to the parts, labor and shipping 2x.

Yes, we dont change the UPC. We contract to have the gun made CA compliant. Since we dont manufacture the rifle, its not our place to change the UPC. Sorry for the confusion. This rifle is actually very hard to find in CA. We are not gouging, or trying to take advantage, but we are a business, and have to cover the costs handed down for parts/labor/shipping from a 3rd party. Thanks to the silly laws in CA, this is what we have to deal with in exchange for great weather, high taxes and traffic:)
