The FMK Patriot II is a new edition to the 9C1 G2 family and is ergonomically built to comfortably fit both large and small hands.  The Patriot II is equipped with a Fast Action trigger mechanism for the shooting enthusiast who prefers a quick short trigger pull with a drop free magazine. Another unique feature is the grip that has a rubberized backstrap. This backstrap not only effectively reduces felt recoil, it hugs and grips the palm of the shooting hand to provide a comfortable, positive grip. The result is a grip that seems to mold to the shooter’s hand, instead of having to mold your hand to fit the grip. The barrel is engineered to sit low for superior point and shoot accuracy and reduced muzzle flip, and the 9C1 G2 has virtually no external protrusions, making it ideal for concealed carry; and of course, it’s Proudly American.

HOLY GLOCK CLONE BATMAN!!! Wow, I'd be surprised if someone wasn't getting sued over this one, they're even calling is a G2? Surely this is no where near Glock quality but to be honest the grip on these looks like I'd like it more in that regard.

I have been a Glock guy since I was first issued a 17 back in 1989. Still carry a 37, almost every single day. Even to church on Sunday. But I will say this, if FMK could get just one quality problem fixed, extraction and feeding issues, they would be awesome. The grip they have come out with is great. And the whole reason I bought this gun to begin with is because I thought the Patriot Edition was very cool. I admired the company and it's history. Of course I paid twice what they are going for today. And that is ok. I like the gun. It looks cool, it feels good, it shoots great. It is just the feeding issue. And I can't figure it out. But I am no gunsmith. So maybe, one day, I will have the time to learn more about extraction and feeding. But for $199??? I almost bought another one for kicks and giggles to just put up in pristine condition so that my great, great, great, great grandkids would have a piece of history. By the way, Glock isn't gonna sue them about this. They sued S&W back in 1994 over their copy. I still have a Gen1. I bought it just for kicks and giggles. The lawsuit was long and drawn out. S&W lost. Made very minor changes. And we still have the S&W Glock knockoff. Reminds me of how China has their Land Rover knock off. No kidding. Google it. It is called the Land Wind. I kid you not.

There's no doubt that the FMK Patriot II is a Glock knock off. However the "G2" has nothing to do with it's Glock knockoff-ness the G2 means Generation 2 because the first run of these Patriot guns had major reliability problems.

I felt like I had to get it when I realized S/H was only $9 opposed to the usual $17. Also found where XD9 mags can be modified to work by just cutting in the proper mag catch slot. My biggest gripe about Glocks involve that terrible hump in the grip which doesn’t work for my hand. I’m very interested to see how much better this rubberized blackstrap really will be.

You will absolutely love it. It just feels better in the hand. And it may be psychological, but I think it dampens the recoil a bit.

I’ve had 2 of them. One was great with good quality ammo. The other would eat any ammo. Great for the price and they will fix any issue you have

Good reviews at Buds albeit only 2. Customer support is good from the 1 PSA review but he had an issue with the extractor that caused the need to contact customer support. There are some YouTube videos on this gun as well.

How is this gun good or bad?

Sweet shooting gun. Has a mind of it's own when it comes to ammo. I say again, it is a sweet shooting gun. On the range. When a life doesn't depend on it. I would never carry it. So it is pretty much worthless. But I love mine.

Were you running brass or steel case ammo when the problems occurred? What's the best ammo and ammo to stay away from from your experience?

Brass only. I never run steel. Well, I did ONE single time at a range down in Florida in my AR. Never again. I say, NEVER again. Nobody will convince me that price outweighs reliability.

I have the model with the threaded barrel but it does not like steel ammo. So far I've had no issues with any brass.
