PSA frequently has good deals on FN factory ss197sr 5.7 rounds for $.26-$.28/ round shipped about as much as 45 acp. Fun gun to shoot!

Neat gun.
Rented one, and a box of 50, and pretended to be Sam Fisher.
I find FN pistol stippling a bit too rough, but if these were to drop below 1K shipped again, I would be tempted.

Rather buy a fns 9mm and roughly 2000 rounds for this price. But I get it people have to have it.

I have owned 3.The first 2 were sold but I will not be selling the 3rd which has a threaded barrel. This gun is not for everyone. It has its advantages/disadvantages like just about every caliber & I understand why some have no use for it.IMO If you are someone like myself who has a few toys & has them in all of the readily available calibers, then this was a nice addition.
The rd. is small, the gun is large,it's not cheap/nor is the ammo, ok trigger & its ballistic potential has been argued for years.
The reasons I like it are b/c of the 20-30 rd capacity, matches the PS90 ammo, has nice ballistics with the right ammo, very accurate, recoil is awesome/different,the gun is lighter than a mid size glock & is just fun to shoot which is what I was looking for. Also my wife can shoot it with no problem.

Had a friend buy one of these and he sold it within weeks of buying. He realized there are very few instances where a 5.7 has any advantage on 9, 357, 40, 45, etc

5.7 will kill just like a 9mm or any other bullet. You just has 3 times as many in the pistol. More accurate at 100 yards. Twice as light as a 9mm. You can buy the bullets for around $15 a box.

One of our dream guns.

An investment you can't go wrong. If the SHTF, this is all you need. You can carry hundreds of bullets, the gun holds 3 times more than most pistols and is accurate like a rifle at 100 yards.

Hey I'm is St. Louis.Imagine shooting a polymer framed .22 but a bit firmer recoil that pushed directly backwards. If you have a nice grip on it, you can put 20 rds down range without repositioning the sites on the target. In a way it really handles like you are shooting a toy but that toy throws brass 10-15 ft and spits out a fire ball.LOL.It is like no other gun that I have shot.I do have to say that I haven't shot a polymer .22 mag pistol.Particularly the keltec pmr but im sure it should have similar characteristics.

For $500 I might be interested but at the price of two and a half Glock 17s I'll pass

What is the trigger like? Adjustable? How is the reset?

At this price point; too bad there is not a pre-milled rear sight or integral top rail for CQB optics/ other top slide items.

Glad it has a under rail... as there are still way too many top line hand guns which are not/ do not come with such a simple improvement... ( I'm talking to you, lots of M1911A1 knock offs...).

Sorry the ammo is way over 18-21 cpr where it would make this a good competitor to a 9mm.

Can't do it on my limited budget! Thanks Obummer

I owned the USG for years but ended up selling it.I can go on & on about this gun & why I enjoy having it but I understand why some are not interested.Their reasons are exactly why I was able to let it go.The cost of ammo was the main reason of course.Well I have to say that I couldn't go long w/o it & the Markll & it's Jarvis barrel are now in the safe.I would recommend it to anyone. How anyone who enjoys guns & enjoys shooting could not have any interest in this gun is beyond me.Its obviously the price IMO.If it was half the price those who say they have no interest would take the dive & most would not regret it im sure.It is extremely accurate, very little recoil/zero muzzle flip, high capacity, nice projectile capabilities, light as a g26,reliable as any gun I own, made by FN & I myself think it's cool looking.

I guess if the ammo is high priced, the gun should be too. I'd like to try one out but damn...... The model is pricey.....and it's not a thing of beauty.

They are pricey but after shooting one I'm a believer, 20 or 30 rds per mag with very little recoil puts them all on target with ease

Thanks, if they drop below 1k I'll do it but that may be far off, if ever. I'd just like to try one out first and I don't know anyone that owns one. Do you live anywhere near MN? I could make you a Morel Mushroom and Walleye dinner.......
