.18 cents a round for rim fire ammo!? Damn .... has 22 mag always been that spendy!?

It was .20 cents a round when I posted this deal, originally created for people that might want to try one box for $9.99 shipped. Someone modified my expired post and re-opened it for 500 rounds or whatever. Lowest PPR was not my intention, but rather lowest total cost (without having to leave the house), so I'll expire this again.

I've never owned or bought 22 mag so I was amazed that what is a 22 LR on steroids, is roughly 4 times the cost to shoot. The price of 9mm brass on sale per round. Was thinking of getting a 22wmr but not at 20 cents a round or even half that.

My 22 revolver accepts 22 short/long/LR and WMR. I certainly put more LR though it than anything else, but it's nice to have a box or two of WMR on hand. I like the CCI or Hornady VMAX since they have the highest velocity from my pistol and tend to explode on impact, but this round from Federal was interesting because it's one of the heavier grains I've seen.

Ah, so top shelf ammo. Good to know about being able to use LR ... will need to see if the weapons I have on my short list will feed without trouble. Thanks!

My revolver came with two 6-round cylinders, one for 22 short/long/LR, and another for WMR. I think it will be unsafe to fire 22 LR in a firearm chambered in 22 WMR and vise versa. All the bullets fit the same barrel, but the WMR chamber is bigger and LR might rupture in it.
