You're joking, right? Walmart .45 acp ammo is more like $0.30 a round.

I wouldn't say it's better than brass, except it is lighter and cheaper than brass. I would rather shoot aluminum than steel in my handguns, because aluminum is softer (less wear & tear on the ejector/extractor/etc)
