Makes for a great home defense gun when paired with a decent light, red dot and 33 round mag full of HPs.

When do they restock these things? Been waiting to buy one for a while.

Try accessing their site extarusa.com at around 5:30 or 6:30 pm CT. I noticed that the Buy Now at $419 option appears in the evening when they do restock their inventory. This may not be true for every day of the week, but when they do have inventory available, they tend to sell it in the evening. This has been my observation. Hope this helps.

Thank you for a general time range, I tried fishing for one with their customer support but had no luck lol. I was finally able to grab one thanks to your advice. Can't wait to get it, hope it lives up to the almost universally great reviews I've seen/read.

You are welcome. Glad I could help. Did you receive your item yet? When you do, can you do me a favor and look at the screws that hold the handguard in place please? On the item that I have received, the screw heads are partially blocked by the metal part of the receiver adjacent to the handguard. The item's manual provides instructions on removing the handguard. I, however, don't think I can remove the handguard without stripping the screws and damaging the receiver. Just wondering if I have received a lemon or the screw heads are partially blocked on everybody's items. Can you please advise? Thanks. Happy Holidays!

Bump. Was going to repost, but this listing is still active and the deal is still available.

Honest Outlaw Reviews did a good review of this PDW, updated as of last week:

The only thing holding me back is Extar is selling these directly and they are in AZ, my home state. That means I'd get hit with 10+% sales tax charge in addition to S/H & FFL fees. I'm hoping they sell some to distributors like JoeBobs and a few of the NV shops like Botach, ArmsUnlimited etc..etc...

I'm incredibly happy with my purchase. For the price of this model and what you get, it's a no brainer. I ran 250 rounds through yesterday without a single hiccup. The pistol isn't picky with ammo type or magazines make. It ran dirty Tula, armscore, blazer, and winchester no problem. Perfect suppressor host as well. If you're on the fence, make the jump. You won't regret it.

Reviews seem good and the price point was too tempting. Just got the shipping notification so I will know soon enough.

I purchased one of these a few weeks back and I am really glad I did as they are hard to come by now. Functions absolutely flawlessly, although SGM Tactical 33 round mags lock open prematurely with one round left in the mag. None of my factory Glock mags do this, so I am sure this is the magazines fault and not the pistols. The buffer system is great and recoil is ridiculously low. I topped it with a Vortex Crossfire red dot, and added a hand stop as you REALLY need one to keep your digits from accidentally sliding over the end of the barrel. 750 rounds later it works with no issues. I really enjoy shooting it and it is a great deal.

I had looked at the .556 pistol they make and read bunch of favorable reviews for it, but I really wanted a 9mm pistol with a brace. The day I saw this posted here I ordered one. I have not been disappointed. I picked it up at my FFL which is also an indoor range and ran a hundred rounds though it without the brace installed and with an unsighted in TRS 25 from my AR. It worked very well with little recoil. I installed the brace the next day. Installation with a little soapy water and covering the hole on the rear of the brace as demonstrated on their video was not as easy as they show, but it wasn't to bad. Oh, and here's a tip. If the brace is off center after you install it, as mine was, you can loosen the two allen head screw holding the buffer tube, turn the tube and tighten them down rather than trying to twist the brace.
On my second trip to the range with the brace installed I sited the TRS 25 in for 25 yards and was able to put rounds through the same 3/4 ish inch hole from a standing non braced position. I went through several hundred rounds and my adult son did the same. I had a handful of jams which I blame on the weakish spring in the supplied magazine. I had I
one jam in a KCI 34 round stick and no jams in Glock 19, Magpul 19, or ETS magazines that I tried. I found it easy to disassemble and clean and it wasn't very dirty for all the rounds. I resisted the strong urge to spray some dry lube on it before I put it back together (Extar says that no lube is required and will in fact just lead to making a mess). I've ordered an angled foregrip for it and look forward to going that a try. I'm very happy with my purchase and the price can't be beat. This is a hell of a lot of gun for the money. The only drawback I can find is that I'm going through a hell of a lot more 9mm ammo, lol, and now I want to buy a suppressor even more. That's my next purchase. Oh, one more thing, since I shoot indoors a lot I replaced the oem comp with a mini flash can. In hindsight I don't think that was necessary for 9mm since the can made little if any difference in the precieved sound level. It may be for .45 and 10, but perhaps there is some muzzle climb with those calibers and you'd rather have the stock comp anyway. I don't precieve any climb with the 9mm.

Some bonehead posted this as a new posting instead of resurrecting an expired posting with quite a few valuable comments associated. (Alright, I'm that bonehead. I need to figure out how to work this site better). Search for "Extar" to see those comments.

I have one of these and am tempted to pick up another for the family as the price is very low, it is lightweight, and functions and disassembles very nicely. I have only shot about 75 rounds so far as part of sighting in the red dot I mounted. However, I only saw flawless performance straight out of the box. All shots were with an attached silencer. It needs to stand the test of time, but for $420, I feel like the risk is small.

Got this one, super lightweight, price is a no brainer, changed the sb brace for a kak blade I had, a Vortex Viper and a low pro laser on top picatinney... added a Tritech AR grip so I can have two Glock fun sticks to go. At this price you can’t feel guilty...Will get the 10mm when it comes out.
