Buds will not match that price. They will not honor a price match.

Anyone know where this is made?
Turkey?
China?

Turkey. They make very good shotguns for the money.

I don't know if this will help anyone out but I bought one of these a few years ago the Hatsan Escort, nickel mariner. I have mine all modded flashlight, laser, M4 style collapsable stock, heat shield, billet shell guide. I have found that with very little adjustment that Remington 870 parts work pretty damn well on these. Oh and by the way it's one hell of a shotgun, never had an issue through hundreds of rounds.

I picked up one of these from a gun show a few years back for about the same price. If you are looking for a shotty you can take out of the box and go to hell and back while going "boom" all the way, this will do the trick. The Turks crank out some pretty quality weapons for a nice price, and this is one of them. If you want to look like the next incarnation of (insert name of really cool action hero here), you should spend a couple hundred more and get an equivalent Remington or Mossberg and mod it up, because there really are few aftermarket products that will easily merry up with this weapon. If you want a smooth no frills home defense shotgun with a nice finish and a tolerance for harsh environments and conditions, this is a good economical choice. Some people frown upon Buds, but I've ordered 3 handguns from them in the last year with no issues.

Why are some people down on Buds? Just wondering.

I think the preponderance of negs on Buds revolves around perceived price gouging from the panic from 1.5 years ago. I dunno, most places did it BUT I have completely shunned place like cheaperthandirt since then because they sent me panicked e-mails saying I needed to buy one of their base AR-15 bushmasters for $2000 before the government banned them. THAT bothered me big time since it only served to feed the panic. I get that many were bothered by other retailers simply raising their pricing (sans alarming "buy from us NOW or else" emails a la cheap dirt which was too unforgivable for me) but I really think their (Bud's and most others') motive was more a reality of the fact they had NO supply coming in and they wanted to keep something in stock to stay relevant. Not like they overly profited over that period because their sales volume went down significantly because suppliers didn't have the ability to supply. Others may disagree. Anyway, my opinion is also CTD sucks because they went out of their way to try to scare us and contribute to the problem while getting overly greedy with their pricing. Buds and most other just tried to keep a few AR-15's in stock for more than 5 mins without scary advertising. I also don't like Bud's associating with a gun "Penny Auction" (aka "legal scam") website ... but again, I've bought multiple handguns from them with no hassle for FAR cheaper than anything I can get locally. So ... my humble opinion is if Bud's has something that looks good and you want/need it, buy it and you'll be happy in the end.

I've read people's comments about that whether it's buds or especially CTD. My own take is if you don't like a price a retailer is selling a product for just don't buy it. In the end the retailer will have screwed themselves with price gouging even if a product is legitimately in short supply. Just went to CTD and they are selling a 250 round can of TulAmmo .22LR for $60. Ridiculous? Yes. So just don't buy it and let CTD lose the sale.
