  • Jon C - Washington I have owned two of the 512s with excellent experiences with both. First off, Eotechs glass and durability is excellent and the donut of death reticle is a standout and is my favorite up close reticle. A great combo with a 512 or any Eotech is a magnifier as the good glass and crisp reticle with a 1moa center dot makes taking longer shots a breeze. One model I tested was made in 2011 and the other a 2017, they had a few external differences but were otherwise identical in quality and function. Both held up well on all of my guns including short barreled .308 AR-10s. They hold zero very well and have held up very well to drops and submersions in mud and water. Some of the downsides are the obvious size and weight (11oz) versus other smaller cheaper red dots that also have 20-50 times the battery life. The Eotechs 1000 hours is pretty low but it isn't designed in the same way or for the same purpose as those other red dots and utilizes very common AA batteries. These are meant to be tough and reliable in more "professional" environments. For being quite tanky optics with great glass they are still high value as well compared to Aimpoints that can cost twice as much.

Unrelated to this product, but I requested a free catalog from SG that arrived the other day. Took more than 3 months to get. So long in fact, I had honestly forgotten all about it. If that's the kind of service one can expect, I'm pretty sure I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

20% off is limited to the first $150 for that coupon code. So it's actually $30 or 7.8% off this item. The same as the cost of the membership.

Hard to justify even at $360 shipped since the XPS2 can be had for $400. 512 should go for $320 shipped, IMO.

I had the same exact one for over 3 years. Dedicated custom 10/22 rabbit rifle sight. It worked great for pretty much under 4 years. After that, for unknown reasons, it wouldn't hold zero. On a 10/22, out of all rifles, you'd expect any decent scope to hold zero forever. Warranty is 2 yrs... I sold mine for $60 for an airsofter. Won't buy again.. replaced with a StrikeFire Gen2 red dot.

I really wish old comments on reposted deals would be visually different than new comments, just so people dont read over everything and then realize that the conversation is from 2 months ago.
also it shows $20 for shipping, only one choice. So $360 shipped (with SK1755 applied), which isnt bad at all

Indeed... no FS on this or any of the Eotech deals that claim free shipping.

Got mine from SG for under $300. What a deal. Wish they were as good on ammo as they used to be. Still bitter with them after they cancelled my 1 1/2 year backorder of .223.

I'm confused. I used the A4A link, do I need to become a member? It's not letting me use the SK1999 code. Says its for members only. It did say I get free S/H on the purchase off the link though....

Nevermind, read the title of the deal closer and got my answer. Still a great deal after the 29.99 membership fee.

Hello can some one tell me what is the A4A code?

just click on the link https://gun.deals/deal/11967... and it will redirect your via a4a code (catalog code for sportsmna's guide) and it will give you free shipping on optics, and you can add a coupon to save additional $

Parts of thread are a year old.
    Deal was posted today.
Deal was originally posted quoting a $60.00 rebate.
The EOTech rebate for this model is actually $50.00.
    I posted as such.
    Deal listing was changed.
    Thanks for your invaluable input.

How do you get $279 after coupon SK590?

I added to cart (i'm a member), went to checkout, entered coupon SK590, and got $359.98 shipped ($19.99 s&h).

After MIR that's $300, not $279... am I missing something?

    0 votes

    no, shipping is additional, so it's $279 + S/H

The A4A code still works for free shipping & got the double discount to boot…got one on the way!

Yss, it worked for me too. Thanks! You saved me $20. $340 shipped, minus $50 MIR = $290 net. Not bad!

Awesome! Yeah, I had looked for an expiration date on the flyer when it came and there was none. Seems to work on all the Eotechs and many other scopes.

I shouldnt mention this now since probably too late for most of u. A couple months ago there was a flyer with free shipping on scopes. The part codes were different from what this link has. To find the same scope with free shipping, search for A4A instead of WX2. It worked for G33 when I tried earlier. Probably work for other Eotechs too. Saves you the $20 shipping and u can still enter double discount coupon.

This is a pretty decent price, paid more for mine...

For those short on cash, you could always hop over to Eotech's facebook page and 'like' them.
If you do you can enter their Millionth sight weekly contest, each week they give away five EXPS3-0 and a G33 Magnifiers

After the one day member double discount coupon it brings it down to $339. But they get you for $19.99 S and H and of course you cant use a second coupon number (unless its a Gift Card). So for me its $359.98 with S and H.. Not sure if that is great enough being I just bought 2 Aimpoint PROs this month. Man, the Optics game is one of the toughest we have to play next to the weapon, thats for sure!

I took the plunge on this. It was 380 shipped about 10 higher than I've seen 2 other places recently but I have had some great deals from sg lately and dont mind being loyal.

Free shipping is only when you sign up as a new member. As a member you always get hit with shipping and handling. They always offer coupons, but in most cases the coupon deals do not cover the full cost of shipping. I still like Sportsman's overall. I have been a member for over 10 years, and always manage to find deals. They are not as good as they used to be, but it is about the only buyer's club that I pay for. Overall it has been worth it.

Price seems to be coming down of these and Aimpoints. If I could get it for $380 I would buy it. They add shipping for me, and I am not a member.

Sportsmans guide is a great store with many over priced products... however being a member and keeping an eye out of deals will save you a lot of money... actually it cost you a lot of money because you can help but buy stuff you might not need if it wasnt such a good deal.

i started out with them with the intent not to become a member but when I was making my order it first offered me a discount which I decided nah and then offered me discount and free shipping. I ended up basically getting my membership for free since I was saving more on the purchase than the cost of the membership. I did have to wait about 2 months maybe 3 for my order which was a case of 357 sig but for $300 I would challenge anyone to find a better deal.

SG is good for some things not so great for others but it is worth it once you find the right deal to get hooked in.

too true. I can't help but buy stuff from them because of the great deals they offer. They are about 40 minutes away from my house so I usually get their orders next day which makes it even more enticing.
