Description

Our Enhanced Trigger Assemblies are build on a traditional Mil-Spec foundation with some key upgrades for increased performance. All components are sourced from US .mil contractors that meet or exceed military specifications. Triggers and hammers are made from 8620 steel and properly heat treated. Trigger sear surfaces maintain correct geometry and are polished prior to heat treatment to ensure that surface hardened material is never removed. Triggers, hammers and disconnectors receive our proprietary electroless Nickel Teflon finish for increased lubricity and corrosion protection.

We've taken it a step further and hand selected hammer springs that keep the pull weight on the low end of the spectrum. Every single trigger assembly is checked with a pull gauge to ensure that pull weight is between 5 to 5 1/2 pounds.

PLEASE NOTE: We no longer polish the trigger sear surfaces after the plating process. Sear surfaces are only polished prior to heat treatment. Triggers are already very slick and will polish themselves during regular usage fairly quickly, however, you can polish them yourself with some Flitz (or similar polish) on a flat paper surface. The Nickel Teflon will polish very easily, so do not use sandpaper or anything else abrasive and be careful to not remove any material.

Features:

All components are machined and heat treated to mil-spec
Mil-spec geometry and reliability maintained
Trigger sear surfaces are polished before heat treatment
Proprietary nickel teflon finish
Springs are hand selected to produce a 5 to 5 1/2 pound trigger pull

Includes:

Polished trigger
Hammer
Disconnector

Sadly, I guess I'll wait for PSA's $29.99 version to come back in-stock since with the cheapest shipping option being Priority Mail @ $9.30 for a total of $49.29 at RtB. Oddly the shipping cost is $2 more than it actually costs them and one might assume this is where their brief $2 off sale at $37.99 was funded from. Things that make you go, hmmm?

I love my RTB enhanced trigger. I have a Larue MBT single stage coming soon so I look forward to the comparison.

Curious how the MBT1 compared to the RTB trigger... any follow up feedback?

Like many others I would have purchased one if the shipping cost was reasonable.

With JP springs or kaw valley springs you can get great results after polishing the PSA EPT trigger a little bit. I have several and have had good success doing this.

Great trigger. I see comparisons to PSA’s version. I run both and they appear different. Meaning not the same manufacture. The machining and finish on this one is better. I have two of these and they both have less creep than the PSA version. Both seem to have similar pull weight but I don’t have gauge. Both are great triggers for money though. I also have a Bcm pnt in my recce. This trigger is on par both fit and finish. Save the extra $20 and pick this up. Or spend the extra $50 and pick up the Cmc Lantac when on sale at primary arms. Hands down best trigger for under $100 anywhere! Amazing.. I’ve picked up two the last 3 months when they’ve been on sale. One flat and one bowed. I actually like the bowed version the best. I can’t get use the flat pull and it’s hard going back and forth between normal curves triggers.

they USED to do first class, if you asked them, and they would refund the difference, BUT they no longer do this, and I have not bought from them since due to this change. Deal killer for sure.

Right to bear has been a good company to buy from, this is interesting to me and by the reviews seems a good trigger, etc should have a package with their gripscrew trigger adjuster and jp or kaw valley springs

Why is this posted as a deal when this is normal price?

The first one I bought (almost 3 years ago) was excellent. Totally blown away. Bought 2 more. Either their quality control went away or I got extraordinarily unlucky this time. They're both TERRIBLE. Gritty. Heavy. Much worse than mil-spec. I'll polish them and try again. Will report back with results.

they said about 8 months ago, that they used to polish them before coating, but they no longer do that step.

I still haven't gotten around to polishing the triggers. The rifles haven't been touched since my last post. That said, I still consider Right to Bear a good company. They provided a shipping label for me to return them. I haven't done so yet. Like I said before, my first trigger is outstanding. I'm sure the other 2 I got just need to be broken in or polished.

Long-term update from my original comments:

The initial 6lb average pull has broken in after several hundred rounds and now runs an extremely consistent 4.4-4.5lb (Mil-Comm TW25B light application at the lube points for reference). Still no slack and a small bit of creep before it breaks, but zero grittiness and smooth pull to break.

Easily the best 'standard'-type AR FCG I own (comparing to standard 'mil-spec', PSA's nickle, ALG's nickle, and two WMD NiBX FCGs). I run mostly CMC drop-ins for my single-stage FCGs, and Geissele (or LaRue MBT-2S) for my two-stage, but this little gem is great for an improved trigger on basic carbine builds.

Still holding out for more NP3 BCGs...

Aspire727. I'm from California 94538 not a great area to shoot a AR. I moved up to Shasta county, much better for being a gun owner even though it is still CA

Interested in picking one up to compare to the PSA version but I refuse to pay $8.50 to ship something that could be sent First Class for $2.62.

Heck, even if you used a small Flat Rate Priority box it would cost less.

We're working on implementing a First Class option. Should be available in the next few days. $8.50 seems a little high. What state are you in?

guess that answers that... If you can't answer a message in 3 months, then for sure you are not capable of adding a First Class shipping Option in 2 years...

been 2 years, you are still not able to do a first class option??

Looks like a great deal. Maybe my S&W MP 15x needs one?

EDIT: Ok, grabbed one today. Bought a vice block off eBay...would of bought it off Right to Bear Arms, but didn't see one on their site.

Thought I'd update after a fair bit more shooting. Not sure of an exact round count but surely above 500. It's been smooth and consistent, nice clean break and crisp tactile reset. No evidence of wear I can find at this point. It's not a $200 target trigger but my fingers aren't that sensitive! Besides it's not in a precision rifle but a 2-3 MOA AR. I'm very happy and will buy more if the need ever arises.

Just installed mine. What it's not: a $235 target trigger. With that out of the way, it's worth every penny. GREAT DEAL. Crisp break, no comparison to the stock AR trigger. I have several ar15's and hell, at this price I plan to put one in all of them. Very even finish, and came with pins, no big deal, but nice if you have a stripped lower.

Great trigger. Military geometry for reliability, nicely polished and nickel Teflon coated for SMOOTH. These triggers are all we use now and we are a multiple black rifle family.
RTB is one of my favorite retailers for AR parts, their customer service is just outstanding- over and above.
So to recap; Great trigger, wonderful dealer.

Here is a review of the RTB trigger for another data point. It looks like a pretty good deal, for a non-target trigger: http://realisticpreparedness.com/enhanced-nickel-teflon-trigger-assembly-review/...

I finished an aero precision M5 308 and side charging 556. Picking up two more of these bad boys. I took out my one ar last weekend with a rise armament drop in trigger and compared it side by side with pretty much the same AR but with one of these triggers and litterly had a hard time telling difference. The rise trigger is a little lighter, almost to light for me and the reset is a bit quicker. But for less than half the price i will take this one all day long. Don't get me wrong if I'm doing 700 yard precision shooting I would spend the money on a couple hundred dollar trigger but for most of my builds this is perfect. I used to run Geissle SSA's in everything but it gets old spending $250 on a trigger with pins....

Thank you for the great review!!

With any standard trigger setup and 7.62x39 you run the risk of light primer strikes. In my experience, the best thing to do is use an enhanced firing pin. Which is essentially a tad bit longer and mimics an AK firing pin.

They're usually called 7.62x39 enhanced AR firing pins.

***update*** finely finished new 556 pistol build using spikes and aero precision. This is a great trigger!!! I can't compare to other "similar types" as only have drop in or stock mil spec on all my AR's but this is an excellent inbetween option. Feels great, crisp, smooth, and for the price you can't go wrong. I picked up the LPK they sell with this tigger for $69 I think... Great value... I am in the process of building another pistol but this time running 7.62x39. Anyone have experience using use this trigger with red army? Any issues with light primer strikes on decent steel cased ammo? I will not be running anything with brim primers or super cheap crappy steel. I would rather go this route then hyper for $85 but concerned about strike issues... Guess I could use the new lower I just finished with my 16 inch 7.62x39 upper but that would be to easy I guess;). Any experience guys, save me trip to the range..

I bought some other items from these guys as well. Great company and great experience so I will use them again as I'm starting to order kit for new build today..

Great vendor. I have purchased many things from them and have nothing but good things to say. I am planning on purchasing a few of these triggers to compare to my BCM trigger that I just installed. A friend bought this and really liked it so for half the cost I will probably replace 4 triggers with these.

Just picked one up that is part of complete LPK for $69 plus a low pro gas block for $15. Using on a new lower cost build. If I like this trigger I plan on installing on my 2 other lower end AR's. I love Geissele and try to run the whenever possible but I am looking for something decent sub $75.... We shall see. Great reviews.

Forgive my curiosity, but who is the "S" rollmark?

Purchased 3 of these based on reviews here and price point. It's no $200 trigger, but a huge improvement over a LPK spec trigger. Probably equal to my ADK Arms trigger, and better than the ALG QMS. Add in a pistol grip/trigger adjustment screw and you've got a pretty nice range gun trigger for $50. Keep up the good work 'Right to Bear'!

Awesome trigger. Received it fast and installed it same day. If you have ever installed a trigger, this is an easy install. If not, just search on YouTube, it's not hard. Nice smooth pull that is a great upgrade from the mil-spec one. Also matches my Nickel Teflon upper receiver from RTB. Soon to order another one for the other AR15. This was my third order from RTB and I've been happy everytime.
