Description

The patent pending Easy Jig Gen 2 Multiplatform is the word’s first fully universal router jig capable of finishing AR-15, AR-9, and DPMS gen 1 pattern .308 80% lowers without the need for any additional adapter pieces. The jig converts between AR-15 and .308 by simply flipping the rear buffer tube mount and side plates. The Easy Jig Gen 2 is the culmination of our years of experience gained from manufacturing the world’s first router jig and the best selling jig in history, the Easy Jig Gen 1. We thought through every possible detail to improve the user experience with Easy Jig Gen 2 and took into account hundreds of suggestions from our customers. No detail was too small to be overlooked. The result is quite simply the finest 80% lower jig ever produced. We invite side by side comparison to any other jig on the market, nothing else compares.

New! Optional Hardened Steel Hand Drill Stabilizers™ provide extra stability when using a hand drill instead of a drill press. They are recommended although not required when using a hand drill. I bought my jig from the folks at sub.moa and it's quite well made with the tool steel inserts that are easily replaced. But it doesn't have the built-in depth gauges and only comes with two top plates, which do not fit as a keyed plate would. They have about a quarter inch of play, which won't ruin an upper, but could lead to a rather awkward looking trigger pocket. I'm giving this one serious consideration, especially since the sub.moa jig cost me $300 with a lower, two milling bits and two drill bits.

My first jig and completed first lower. Absolutely no problems.Awesome jig only issue was took 8 weeks to get it and to me that's unacceptable and if I would've known wait time I would've held off until readily available. Definitely worth the money hands down, BUT NOT THE WAIT. Called them and every week after week 3 for 3 more weeks of calling non stop they said it should be going out soon. Yes, it arrived 2 weeks later after I gave up hope after steadily calling for 3 weeks to no avail. I would NOT ORDER AGAIN UNLESS IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP. Also, shop vac connector did not fit either of my 3 shop vac hoses, so I'm not sure what size it actually fits so that feature was complete useless for me but still an awesome jig especially at the price. Hope this helps anyone in the market.

UPDATE!!!! Poor quality end mill and pins that secure lower and jig. Upon working second lower end mill chipped and pins missing ball to secure pin and keep it from backing out. EXTREMELY Poor quality, BUYERS BEWARE. I should have went with 5D Tactical instead. You have been warned.

I'm not sure why anyone would choose to use a hand drill when even a cheapo harbor freight drill press is stable enough to do the work. Yeah, I know the drill press isn't made to deal with later pressure and can break, but that's where lighter pressure, slower cutting and more finesse come to play in making a good end product.
