$229 with slide cuts AND an optic is an insane deal. These MC28s are solid and reliable for the money. Can’t go wrong on this one.

Nice gun but not so great for concealed carry/self defense unless you have time to respond to a threat. Soooooo...you are experiencing a threat and pull out the pistol to respond. First........you have to hold the red dot ON lever for 3 seconds for it to show the red dot. Then....you have to find the red dot in the small screen before you can put it on a target. I like the pistol and it shoots great at the range but not inclined to carry it for self defense.

OK, at this price point, I'm in, just ordered one. I haven't tried the whole optics on a pistol thing, instead of 3 dot irons, so this will be a fairly inexpensive way at $229, plus reasonable shipping, to try it. Just wish it came with a spare mag. If I like shooting with a red dot, I can always upgrade the red dot itself if I want to, while the reviews I've read/watched on the MC28SA itself have all been very positive, that it eats basically any 9mm ammo without complaint. At 61, its getting harder to see all three dots clearly, without readers that then distort my field of view, so I imagine that using a red dot for the first time could be an epiphany type event. Normally, it costs at least double to build even a basic optic ready pistol with optic so I never even considered trying it until now.

I've bought two smaller 9's from Locked and Loaded in the past with no issues and got a smoking price on all 3, this Girsan MC28SATV, a Diamondback DB9 and a SCCY DVG-1. Interesting the only way I get/find these deals on their website is thru a gun.deals link that's so cheap I can't resist buying another gun, making me feel like Brittany, Oops I did it again.
