The Dpms Low Pro Upper is the Most widely used AR .308 cal also so when looking for hand guards and such this one will be the easiest to find where it is considered the Standard.
LR-308 upper receiver is the receiver only and does not include any other parts for assembly. Constructed of thick walled 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum and with a flat-top that will accept optics or a carry handle. Comes in Matte black finish.
Just FYI: The new Low Profile LR-308 Upper Receiver that measures 1/8" thick from the top of the receiver rail to the charging handle cut-out. Railed hand guards must be specifically sized for the low profile upper for the two top rail sections to match up, otherwise the hand guard top rail will be proud of the upper's top rail.
Most all the hand guards on the market are for low profile upper just make sure when ordering your hand guard it states for low profile or says it is for a standard lr-308.
Not high profile where it will fit but it will look very odd and not match the height
On the low profile dpms Lr-308 low profile upper when mounting some type’s Quick release mounts. The mount might hit the upper receiver where the profile is lower than some tolerances on just a few mounts available so when picking a scope mount make sure the quick release lever or operating clamp does not swing down where it may hit the Receiver where the main body of the receiver is closer to the top rail than the HIGH profile Uppers (high profile uppers are much more uncommon and are kind of odd looking and much higher than conventional low profile uppers where the low profile upper was designed to match the look of an AR-15 m4 rifle.
It does not fit the Armalite ar-10 rifle some older bushmaster rifles and some odd custom mfg. If in doubt Look it up most of the time the lower mfg will state or say online on there website that it fits the LR-308 format rifles.

Ordered parts for two customer AR builds from Delta Team Tactical nearly two weeks ago. Called customer service to check on order status and got nothing but run around. Later that day got an email from some woman who refused to check on my order because it had only been a week or so since I placed the order. Now mind you, I ordered many different parts from several different suppliers for these two custom builds at the same time I placed the DTT order, ALL the other suppliers items arrived within 3-5 days. My customers are threatening to cancel their orders ($2,000) if I can't produce the weapons in a timely manor. Lesson learned, never again order from Delta Team Tactical. I don't care how good the price looks, if they're selling things they don't have, then avoid them like the plague.
DTT, based on my experience is slow to ship. You have to meet the $100 mark for free shipping, so that's a plus. But expect to wait atleast 2 weeks for shipping. DTT and Omega Manufacturing share a relationship, I don't know to what extent (brother/sister company), both are in Utah, same town and carry the same products almost. Omega is cheaper, but doesn't have free shipping. Both carry a lot of Chinese imported shit. Don't buy those ultra slim handguard as they are junk, same slim handguard a from china that are on Amazon that are flooding the market. As it relates to this stripped upper, if it's a OEM DPMS product I would buy, but question is, is it a true DPMS product or just based off of the DPMS lr308 design. I find DTT prices are competitive, just don't get caught up in buying their or Omega Manuf Chinese junk.
appears to be a DPMS upper, received it in one week, fits my lower well.
impressive it took them a month and a half to deliver my order I decided after that mess and lack of communication on their part I would pay a little more to get my orders within what I consider a normal timefram
