Looking back, it was not the Gll, and it had the heavy barrel. My bad.

trapeze, you missed out a couple of weeks ago when Sportsman's Guide had this for $608 member price, and $619 to all. Members got 4pay plan for free.

At $645 shipped I’m in. I’m not sure about the 16” , but at this price, plenty of room to replace the trigger, hand guard and even barrel.

Seems like every time I go through a town that had a Kmart a few years ago, it is now closed.Rolla,MO, Closed.Poplar Bluff,MO, Closed, Lebanon,MO, Closed. And even Laurance KS, where the K-Mart distribution center has closed its stores!Kansas is down to two stores...only two stores for the ENTIRE STATE!Missouri only five.Arkansas one.The entire state of Texas(which is pretty big)only has two Kmarts left! They need to follow Toys Я US and just give up.Let the new kid on the block like Dollar General have their turn.

Is this one definitely eligible for the $125 rebate and not the $50? The rebate form says all but Oracle are $125, but the rep at DPMS is telling me this gun is only $50. I need a second opinion! At $125 I think I’m in.

This is a very reliable design, but interested buyers should know that the lower, upper and BCG are proprietary and you cant just mod these like a standard AR10. Enlarged ejection port, TWO ejectors, from the magwell back is ALL AR15 compatible.

Like anything else a man might buy. Get his attention and the rest is downhill.

I just noticed that there was a gun in the picture with the boobs.

Is this rifle considered an Oracle? The listing is showing the $50 rebate, which I understood to be on the Oracle rifles, all others the $125 rebate.

I have the Gen 1. Anyone with G2 experience? Worth upgrading?

I have one, with a heavier barrel, and bought this because i wanted something lighter. The rifle comes with a number of enhancements like titanium firing pin, billet-like receivers with forged strength, dual ejector bolt, flared magwel, etc. The aftermarket is still pretty new but I intend to use Magpul furniture and a Midwest Industries rail, and add a Vltor A5 system. Takes any AR15 trigger or stock.

The main benefit is the size and weight savings. This one weighs 7.25lbs and to me it handles just like an AR15. If you are building a 24" bench monster just go Gen 1, but if you ever plan on carrying it, the Gen 2 is hard to beat.

One note, Magpul mags may require a bit of filing to work perfectly. They were developed simultaneously with the DPMS GII and the thicker feed lips may cause enough tolerance stacking that the bolt won't lock back when empty. Mine has not had this problem, and IMI, Lancer, DPMS and other mags work great, but be aware.
