Sucks when you click on the website and it’s not the same thing at all

Keep in mind that this kit has the slick side upper. Not a huge deal, but should be considered when looking at price.

This is a fugly Franken-gun, the rails on the upper receiver are higher than the rails on the handguard. Clearly they just slapped together a bunch of surplus parts. You can do much much better if you shop around a bit.

WOW!!! I didn’t even notice that.

CDNN has a 16" barrel for $99.99 right now (SKU: DPMSF410805). So if you're not picky you could conceivably get into an AR10 platform for at or close to $600. That not a bad investment since most complete rifles float around $1k. And PSAs were about $700 when prices weren't crazy and you bought the upper and lower separate.

Sentiment is spot on, but cost evaluation is a bit off. For me, this kit is around $450 after Theft and FFL xfer charge.

Per the listing, “Does not include barrel, gas tube, gas block, muzzle brake or magazine.”

Add all of this and whatever for Theft and shipping...
$100 for the barrel
$30-$50 for the gas tube/block
$10-$50 for muzzle device
$10-$25 for magazine

I’d say it’s conservatively going to add $200 to the total, at minimum. So $650 as a minimum expectation is probably likely. Still not bad, considering the times.

Is this a good deal? Always deals and rebates on .308 ammo from PSA etc.

Might be good. But unless you live someplace w/o any local gun laws, they won't ship to you, regardless if it's legal or not: they can't be bothered to keep track, so they just redline you if you're not in a state that's unequivocally part of Free America... Suspect the same group that bought & ruined Sportsman's Guide may have taken over CDNN too? Clearly, they've got the same "Run away! Run away!" legal team informing their policies...

Fairly good for a ar10, you might, might, be able to part out something similar cheaper. You can easily drop just as much on the barrel. I would certainly consider it a budget build, but should go pop when you hit the bang switch.
