Seems like the price is a bit higher than advertised here; just FYI...

I realize that being such a large, high volume company SG is that an occasional hiccup will happen and not everyone will be happy. My personal experience has been nothing but good with them. Ive bought a handful of guns along with ammo, some other gear for camping and fishing, etc. Probably 10-11 orders. Ive always had good communication and service. So I dont know if I am just lucky or what?? As far as those bitching about the membership fee...I say this. That nominal fee has saved me hundreds of dollars in shipping and sales prices.I love their 4pay plan. Any purchase over $150, guns included, as a member you can pay just 1/4 of the total upfront and you immediately recieve your guns and or products without having to pay them off first like every other typical layaway plan. You make a single payment upfront, then 3 more even payments. All this with NO INTEREST or fees! who else does this? where else can you buy a $1000 firearm with only $250 upfront to recieve it? Seems solid to me. Ive bought 3 different guns this way and love the plan. So yeah some of you people who like to bitch and moan and find fault in everything really dont see the bigger picture. Either your glass is half empty, or its half full.
Prime example here.. speaking of Prime, Im sure at least half of the complainers have an amazon prime account which costs more than SG's fee... Just saying. I mean no disrespect to anyone just speaking from my opinion and experience. Your entitled to your own opinion as well. Ill respect yours, you respect mine.

I didn’t know how to rate using the stars. But I would have put 5 stars for overall a good purchase. Recommend it. So ignore the auto 2.5 stars.

Sportsman's Guide is awful. I've received emails to keep orders.... Then the next thing I know they cancel my orders. I'd love to tbag all their faces if I get a chance.

If these are "in stock", then why are my orders showing an "N/A" for shipping info. Another gun ordered the same day has already shipped and is due Monday.

Bought two of these for the farm. Both work flawlessly. Good build. Nice look.

Well I was actually able to get five rounds in. But the action to rack it is so stiff. I’ve oiled and racked it till my arms were sore and it’s still stiff as shit!

Picked up today. Took 2 mo. Will only take 4 2 3/4 in. shells. The 5th one just doesn’t wanna go in.

Picked up mine today. 3/24. Ordered 1/12. Can only get 4 Two and three-quarter inch shells in it. Just doesn’t want to take the fifth one.

Its probably 4 in the tube plus 1 in the chamber for a total of 5 shell capacity. Just like handguns that show 12+1 capacity. Could be wrong as I am writing this off the cuff without actually looking into it but I suspect this is the case.

I read that you need to break in the tube spring. You can also ghost load to make it fit.

Just received mine. It looks and feels great. My order ended up being $214.98 and I think that's a pretty good deal with a hard case.

That being said, I ordered Jan 17 with a backorder date of Feb. 09 and I just finally picked it up today Mar. 22nd. Also, they almost cancelled my order because the license for my FFL needed to be updated in there system. They didn't notify me at all, I found out when I checked on my order. I called my FFL and they said that it was available on their website. So I called back Sportsman's Guide and they said they would not retrieve it from the website and it had to be emailed. It's a simple PDF file so I asked for the email address to send it to. Then they told me that the FFL had to send it themselves. So I then had to call my LGS again and ask if they could send it for me. When I told them the email address the guy was like "of course it's them". So yea, I guess they have so many of these backordered that they don't care about cancelling an order that they have to do any actual legwork on to keep, they just fulfill the next order pending.

Did anyone receive the version with the adjustable stock? Mine does not, but I could have sworn I saw a video showing that it does.

SG doesn’t sell those. Sure wish it did though. That would be nice. I heard they are about $40.

Nice shotgun for the money. Yes they had it back I ordered. Waited 2 months and finally got it. For the money, it couldn’t be best.

The people who say their orders were cancelled didn't reply to the request to keep their gun on backorder. I am a dealer and I already have one on backorder but have received several all ready which I was readily able to sell with a nice markup.

I don't like how SG sells things for future delivery, but you do ultimately get your item. My current backordered one was ordered 1/8, due 3/20.

Totally agree. I’m sure multiple people missed the emails that you had to confirm you still wanted to wait for your item. These are great shotguns that easily sell for $300+ at most gun shows. I got 2, at 2 separate times with each being about a 2 month wait.

Sportman’s Guide and OpticsPlanet are run by monkeys. Sportman’s guide membership is a scam for fat rednecks with diminished capacity and a spending problem. Don’t let ponzie scheme companies take your money

0 votes
2 votes

Yeah saving hundreds on shipping and members only sales is for Monkeys now isn't it? Who the hell would want to save money by spending a few bucks on a membership and not have to pay expensive shipping rates and being able to score some great deals and sales? Damn fat redneck monkeys...how dare them! You sir are one ignorant troll...I've probably saved around $600-$800 over the past 7-8 years and dozens of transactions I have made thru my membership with SG. Not only that I was able to buy firearms that I have always wanted but we're very expensive thru SG's "4 pay plan". A simple 1/4 of the price paid as a down payment, they ship you the firearm and trust you to make 3 more equal payments to pay it off, ALL WHILE HAVING THE FIREARM! I guess the damn redneck monkeys are dumb and stupid for using this program too eh? What other company allows you to receive a firearm before paying it in full? Oh I will also add that with this program, they charge ZERO FEES OR INTEREST as well for members. So please tell me how only fat rednecks with diminished capacity find this to be worth the measly membership fee? You sir are the diminished, ignorant one who speaks without knowledge or taking the time to look into it before spouting off dumb, ignorant comments. Good day though!

Fuck sportsmansguide and their bad business practices. Ordered this in January, they cancelled it without telling me. This is the 5th order where this has happened.

Its called "check your email" and or make sure SG has the correct email. They send out emails double checking if you still want the firearm and if you do not respond, they assume your no longer interested. When you have thousands of orders for a backordered firearm then sending confirmation emails only makes sense and the only real way to reach so many people who have orders.

Got mine about two months ago. Took about two months. Worth the wait. Great looking and working gun.

I don't mind that they pushed back the date so much, not nearly as much as I mind that it keeps popping up here every day or so, repeatedly, as though it's actually in stock. Tried to order up with a backorder back about 5-10 days ago when it was showing first week of february. Immediately jumped within a day to sometime in late April. Was not impressed, as I signed up also for their membership program in order to drop the price.

Cancelled both, hit with the fee, opting to move on and maybe try to pick up one of the Charles Daly or Hatsan bullpup semiauto models instead. Better value, not through SG. Avoiding dealing with these guys in future.

How much was the fee? They also changed the date on me and gave me a chance to cancel but didn’t . I’m just going to wait. My total was $229 to Illinois. Ordered 1/12.

ordered for $189 2 months later they tell me they never shipped the shotgun because of a glitch and now the gun is $299.99 and back order till April? I canceled the order hope I get my money back. not a good way to do business

Ordered on 1-12. Said available 2-4. Now it says 4-20. 15% cancel fee.

Did you ever receive your order? I ordered mine on 1/17 and just picked it up today 3/22. If you check on the status of your order (the link is in your order confirmation email) and the shipping date say "N/A", then you either have a payment issue or FFL issue. I had to call them about my order. They never tried to contact me about it. I was lucky they didn't cancel my order. Worth the wait and price.

4-20 if you order NOW. Your date may still be around 2-4. Don't give up hope. This gun is worth the wait.

I ordered one of these took almost three months. But it will ship and surprisingly it’s pretty nice for under $200 shipped.

ordered early august. shipped late november. takes two cycles to inject a round. Malfunctioning upon arrival. In the middle of contacting dickinson now. Dickinson rep emailed that it has a lifetime warranty. You get what you pay for.

update; WARRANTY SERVICE DOES NOT COVER SHIPPING EVEN ON BRAND NEW FIREARMS!!!.... HAD TO ARGUE WITH "KRISTIAN" TO GET THEM TO COVER SHIPPING TO THEIR SERVICE CENTER. SIX MONTHS AFTER I ORDERED IT, I HAVE AN OPERABLE FIREARM. MY EXPERIENCE SUCKED. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN.

I got 2 of these after being on the back order list. Amazing value for the roughly $211 spent on the shotgun each OTD. I would like to tinker and mod one just to see what I can come up with. Hard to find anything close to this kind of deal/value right now. I’ve seen Benelli extensions can work if you remove the beveled end of the tube, but I have not confirmed.

ordered in August, backordered, and finally have had it for a few weeks. Stripped it down and the parts seem solid. Marine finish is nice, action is smooth, no malfunctions during first two boxes mixed high and low brass. Stock pad is a little thin but nothing terrible. My 870 and 500 will always be in the field first, but this isn't a bad setup at all. The only negative I can see is that the front sight fiber optic could wiggle out after awhile. I added a Nordic Components tube to add +3 rounds. Well worth the couple hundred bucks.

I ordered mine last month. Just received last week. Great shotgun, great price. I've been a member there for a few years now and It's worth it for me. I use their discounts and 4 pay plan. I bought this with 4 payments of 50 bucks. I've had nothing but good results from SG. Now tin foil star shooting, a different all together. Nothing like an email from someone you bought from calling you an asshole. Never buy from tin star shooting in OK. Read their reviews, horrible company.

Ordered on 8/20/20 shipped on 11/10/20, and I will pick up from FFL on 11/13/20. Patience is a virtue. I am glad I did not cancel this order. If you are still waiting on your B/O to be filled keep the faith. SG has a good record of following through on my orders. I am another satisfied customer. I do not work for SG and I approve this message. LOL

Anybody running the choate 10 shot extension tube on theirs? https://www.thecountryshed.com/Choate-Fabarms-Shotgun-Magazine-Extension.html... . Does it feed reliably with the extension installed?

I just ordered one. They have removed the back order message from the site. BUT my e-mail receipt states Back ordered exp 10/17/20. No worries I have purchased many firearms from SG and they have always come through on my orders. NO I do not work for them! LOL

It is not on backorder status but still show a delay in shipping. Estimated availability: 12/14/2020
But my order says Expected Ship Date 10/7/2020.

Did anyone else notice how the product page used to show that it was on backorder, with "Expected delivery October xx" - and now there's no mention of it being on backorder at all??
SHAAAAAAADY
FWIW - It's still on back order. I tried to purchase one, thinking it was back in-stock but NOPE. Receipt still shows the actual status. That's some shady crap right there...

Indeed. Honesty has left the building in just about every facet of society. Someone should sue them for false advertising 'in-stock".
