ordered early august. shipped late november. takes two cycles to inject a round. Malfunctioning upon arrival. In the middle of contacting dickinson now. Dickinson rep emailed that it has a lifetime warranty. You get what you pay for.

I got 2 of these after being on the back order list. Amazing value for the roughly $211 spent on the shotgun each OTD. I would like to tinker and mod one just to see what I can come up with. Hard to find anything close to this kind of deal/value right now. I’ve seen Benelli extensions can work if you remove the beveled end of the tube, but I have not confirmed.

ordered in August, backordered, and finally have had it for a few weeks. Stripped it down and the parts seem solid. Marine finish is nice, action is smooth, no malfunctions during first two boxes mixed high and low brass. Stock pad is a little thin but nothing terrible. My 870 and 500 will always be in the field first, but this isn't a bad setup at all. The only negative I can see is that the front sight fiber optic could wiggle out after awhile. I added a Nordic Components tube to add +3 rounds. Well worth the couple hundred bucks.

I ordered mine last month. Just received last week. Great shotgun, great price. I've been a member there for a few years now and It's worth it for me. I use their discounts and 4 pay plan. I bought this with 4 payments of 50 bucks. I've had nothing but good results from SG. Now tin foil star shooting, a different all together. Nothing like an email from someone you bought from calling you an asshole. Never buy from tin star shooting in OK. Read their reviews, horrible company.

I ordered mine on 8-8 and finally after 3 delays mine arrived on 11-10.. 3months late but I am happy I got it for $199.. customer service really sucks at the SG and definitely not worth buying the membership!

Do not order from them worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I never got the $179 price also I had to
spend $50 for the membership I wouldn’t waste my time ordering from them it took three months to get it customer service sucked

Ordered on 8/20/20 shipped on 11/10/20, and I will pick up from FFL on 11/13/20. Patience is a virtue. I am glad I did not cancel this order. If you are still waiting on your B/O to be filled keep the faith. SG has a good record of following through on my orders. I am another satisfied customer. I do not work for SG and I approve this message. LOL

Anybody running the choate 10 shot extension tube on theirs? https://www.thecountryshed.com/Choate-Fabarms-Shotgun-Magazine-Extension... . Does it feed reliably with the extension installed?

I just ordered one. They have removed the back order message from the site. BUT my e-mail receipt states Back ordered exp 10/17/20. No worries I have purchased many firearms from SG and they have always come through on my orders. NO I do not work for them! LOL

It is not on backorder status but still show a delay in shipping. Estimated availability: 12/14/2020
But my order says Expected Ship Date 10/7/2020.

Did anyone else notice how the product page used to show that it was on backorder, with "Expected delivery October xx" - and now there's no mention of it being on backorder at all??
SHAAAAAAADY
FWIW - It's still on back order. I tried to purchase one, thinking it was back in-stock but NOPE. Receipt still shows the actual status. That's some shady crap right there...

Ordered a month ago, still shows as 'backorder' in my account. The expected shipping date is Oct. 07, 2020.

Backordered. Expected in stock on 10/17 indeed a bullshit company. Save your money. Also there is a SG employee on here trying to defend their shady ass tactics. Too fucking funny.

It says "IN STOCK" what bs they keep putting this on saying in stock but back order until 10-7

Indeed. Honesty has left the building in just about every facet of society. Someone should sue them for false advertising 'in-stock".

This is a sleazy GREEDY company that will try everything in the book to rob you of your hard earned money.

Ordered this shotgun Friday @ 5:50 pm, received confirmation notice stated it's on backorder for 10-17-2020. Call SG Saturday morning @ 6:00 am to cancel. Monday I had a charge on my credit card for $31.50 from SG, they are charging me a "Cancellation/Restocking" fee for an order that was canceled 12 hours later (12 hrs that they were not even open). So tried to call them, on hold forever, decided to email them, no reply. Called CS on Tuesday, they said they won't remove the fee. I "DISPUTED" the charge with my credit card company, the next day my credit card company credited my card the $31.50 fee. I also received an email from SG saying they made a mistake........SURE THEY DID, they had no intention on removing the fee until my credit card company contacted them. This is how they treat their customers.

WHAT DIRTBAGS..............

Says 'Expected availability: 10/12/2020' right on the product page. Did you think it would magicly come in stock after you ordered?

It's showing as in stock on the site. It's a shit company and I'd avoid them. Edit: turns out you fucking work there. Even more comical. Great evidence for avoidance.

I have been browsing this site since it started, son (slickguns). But just logged on to make that statement. We can't help it if you are illiterate. Pay attention next time and quit being such a crybaby. I have placed many orders from them without a problem. And yeah, I work there :D (SG employee?? Probably) Use an original line next time, dummy. You should feel honored that YOUR comment was one of the most pathetic I have seen on here.

Your post reads like someone off a Dude ranch trying to play the role of "Black Bart." We get it, you have some kind of narcissistic disorder that you think you can talk to customers like that, and mistake being a prick for swagger.

Nonetheless, the info ain't on the friggin page any more & you were outed. THAT'S how you talk to customers??
I've ordered well over $2k from SG this year alone, not any more. You're fking ridiculous, and your customer service is pathetic if you try to bash people for pointing out that you removed the backorder date from the product page to drive up sales.

Business must be bad if you're resorting to bait n' switch. I'm sure the excellent customer service has nothing to do with it.
Oh you can try & hit people with 15% fees, but all they have to do is show the CC company it's showing as in-stock & you can get ready for some charge backs. N'joy those delicious fees.

You might want to lay off the crack-smoking before posting next time.
Says right on the web page for the gun " Estimated availability: 10/12/2020"
https://ibb.co/mb3VnQW
So, either you are retarded or illiterate. Either way, you shouldn't be purchasing a gun from any company.
And no one here cares about how much you spend and where. Really, we don't. You can say you are the president of the Sun. Can't prove it, so why say it.
I own one of these and have another on order. Nice guns for the price and this company has a good deal on them.

How Sad..........lol

And BTW... it stated this right at checkout...
*I understand that once the transfer of the gun is complete, the manufacturer's warranty is then in effect and from that point on any complications with the gun will need to be handled by the manufacturer.
*A 15% fee will apply to all cancelled or returned firearms. Once the firearm is transferred through your selected FFL dealer, returns are no longer accepted.
But I guess you didn't read them either. So the only one to blame is yourself, not SG.

Is this you trying to impress us with quality customer service ?
You are obviously 'copping out' on everything customer service related by saying once you receive the gun it's all on someone else.
A decent company takes care of anything for at least 30 days after the sale and then it's up to the OEM....and that's only a decent company, a good one says anything wrong, return it for repair/replace/refund....period.
I suppose you've never heard of Freedom arms or Dillon or 50 others with a good customer relations rating though...right ?

That is pretty much BS. Just bought a gun from SMGA...Read #3 cupcake...
Thank you for shopping on Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo!
ATTENTION IF YOU HAVE ORDERED A FIREARM ON SMGA.COM:
What to do now?
1) If you haven't already, Contact your ship to dealer of choice to let them know you are having a firearm transferred to them and inquire about any transfer fees. These typically range from $10-$25.
2) If you had to add the ship to ffl because it is not in our database, request that your dealer email a copy of the their FFL License to ffl@smga.com or they can fax it to (865) 429-0177. Keep in mind that even if the license is in our database it may be expired so it will expedite the process to go ahead and request that they send a copy to us.
3) When you arrive at your dealer to pick up the firearm, inspect it thoroughly to check for any defects etc. Once you take possession of the firearm from the dealer, it cannot be returned to us for exchange or refund.
Please call ( 865)-366-8155 FAX: (865) 429-0177 FAX: (865) 429-0177 or e-mail

Every other site I have bought from that sent my gun to one of my FFLs said something similar. None of these places are going to accept a gun return from you. Quit with the lies. This isn't Walmart...but even THEY won't take a gun back. ALL SALES FINAL.

Hmm, user registered about same moment as Saltandprepper was getting his ass handed to him.
Same usage of 'all sales final'.
Same bullshit attitude.
Same user.

Do facts bother you? Show me site that takes guns back with a 100% refund within 30 days. Can't huh? Just talking crap. None of these sellers will do that. BTW I own SG. Just don't tell anyone. And you were wondering why my ISP is in St. Paul, Minnesota and why I have so much Northern Tool stock. But for some reason, I just bought 3 guns from two other companies. Wonder why? Figure it out smart boy.

Hammer meet Nail.
You just can't stop driving home the fact that you are a complete asshole and making sure that no one should ever buy a pack of bore swabs from you let alone a gun of any sort.
You probably bought guns from another dealer due to the fact you are such an asshole you can't stand doing business with yourself.
Yea, it's that obvious.

0 votes
0 votes

Most definitely. And you just can't stop driving home the fact that you are a complete waste of skin. A pathetic person who claims one thing but can't back it up because he is WRONG. Correct? SG has made more money while you were crying than you have in your bank account. And since SD and GD are pretty much in bed with each other, why are you even here? Maybe it is you who needs to MTFA. But the first deal you see at SG, you will be giving them your CC# just like the good little lemming you are. I know it, you know it and gundeals knows it.

Heads up dickstain.
I have a FFL.
I have a gun shop and a gunsmithing business. What would I ever want from you when I can get it at the price you pay and possibly even less ?
I come here to have a better understanding of what is currently trendy and to get a more firm grasp of current market direction.
So you have a few 'Toy r' Us' model shotguns in stock....if I need one I'll let you know.
Or not.
I do not charge restocking fees, I make sure the customer is happy with a 30 day money back guarantee, and have a much better BBB rating than you.
Face, meet in it.

Oh MY! You have an FFL and a gunsmithing business! WOW! :O Is that supposed to impress me? No one gives a crap. I also have a business that is quite profitable. I also have a full-time job elsewhere. Not to mention a farm. I have a very fulfilling life. SO? Am I rich? Not really. Next time, compare your dingus size with someone who gives a rats ass. And don't make me laugh. You come here and visit a Sportsman's Guide post for "better understanding of what is currently trendy and to get a more firm grasp of current market direction." Brilliant. :P Yeah, so you found out they have three warehouses that are 84% empty of ammo and guns. Awesome Job!

Yep, awesome like your 1 out of 5 rating at BBB with 58 out of 60 negative reviews (so you paid 2 people off eh?).
Look inside yourself the next time you want to try and give someone grief. Your bathroom mirror must be getting awful blurry with it reflecting your corrosive personna (non grata?).
I can't believe you come on here trying to sell shit and act the total asshat and think it won't reflect on future sales.
You are one fucked up soul.....good luck, you will need it.
Ted, right ?

A sad comment from a sad person. Is a 'mirror' your thing? Only an idiot would think someone from SG would come on here and try to defend themselves from an imbecile like yourself. But keep up your piteous crying. It amuses us. You remind me of Mrs. Clinton. Can't accept she is a failure and thinks the whole world is against her. Perhaps W Bush? A complete moron. Or maybe Joe Biden. Mentally unstable. And they gave you an FFL? Laughable. That maybe be something the ATF needs to look into. God bless and have a wonderful day.
BTW...why are you browsing a site that you hate for a gun you think came from a Toys R Us catalog??? Or are you just a simple-minded idiotic troll? Seriously.

I agree. Buying a gun and not reading more than the top description IS sad. Very. And no one at SG will come on here, make a fake account, and try to defend themselves from a guy who can't read a simple gun advert. So don't flatter yourself.

Thanks for the info. In a free market, no point in giving money to people who try to screw you over. I’ll certainly avoid them. Not the first negative review i’ve seen for them as of recently

FYI, I placed an order for this shotgun around May 8th or 9th and my FFL received the gun around June 6th. In regards to the "availability". It seems there are two dates. If you look at the page, I believe that is the availability if you place an order right now. If you go into your "My Account" page, it will show you the expected shipping date for YOUR gun. At least that it was it seemed like when I was following my order on Sportsman guide

Can get a maverick 88 for this price.

0 votes
0 votes

nothing special about a maverick. bottom of the barrel basic crap. No marine finish, pistol grip, heat shield, sights, etc etc.... also a single bar ejector as well. I would take this over the maverick any day for this price range. Dickinson has been making shotguns and parts for other brands for years. Theyve also been selling their brands for many years as well. They actually make some very high end, high dollar over and unders and side by sides for competition and game hunting.

I've never been clear on what a "marine finish" on a gun is. I'm assuming it's some sort of anti-corrosion treatment?

0 votes
0 votes

I think its called a "PVD" treatment? Its basically a corrosion resisting chemical and process based finish. its what makes it look silver and provides a rust free metal. its not an actual coating like cerekote, its an actual chemical treatment process on the steel itself. "I think"**lol

Marine denotes salt water so *allegedly* it should be salt water proof.
Don't bother with this POS, look for a mossberg mariner 590, at least it will be reliable.

1 vote
1 vote

mossberg doesn't ship malfunctioning guns out to customers either. this piece of crap requires two cycles of the pump action to eject the shell and then inject another into the chamber. Contacted Dickinson. They wanted me to pay to ship the gun back to them. Wish I could return it and forget about it. Now I have to invest my time and effort to sending it to them and waiting, instead of enjoying a FUNCTIONAL FIREARM!

I hear you, and maybe if I planned on using it a lot it would make sense to spend 5 times this amount, but I don't so it doesn't.

1 vote

Not 5 times the amount, maybe 450-500 but I can't find one in stock anywhere right now (nothing new with the kungflu situation).

0 votes

Regardless, I can't see any justification for spending extra money on something that will hardly ever get used.. Also I'm not sure what the "kungflu situation" is. I going to assume the Trumpvirus has done something to stock levels?
