Fully loaded and left alone... these will bulge out and get stuck in your mag-well. The aluminum is thin.

Worst mags I have ever seen. I bought 10 and only 2 work. Buy PMAGS.

Yeah man same. I jumped on this deal. For reference I can seat pmags, okay surefeed, and others fully loaded on a closed bolt in my main rifle. These, even with upper off, won’t seat in my lower. I can REALLY slam some of them home, others are like they’re out of spec or something and don’t even engage the damn catch. Pretty pissed off.

Shoulda believed my review dummy.

Jk, they LOOK like they work. I am gonna use mine as targets.

This was like a month ago, just been loading and testing my mags recently with all the shit going on

It did help me to file down the excess plastic inside the mags, spray insides with silicone, then store all of them fully loaded for 3 weeks. They mostly work now, but still can't easily load the to capacity. If your mags fail, your gun is useless. PMAGS are now all I buy, never a malfuntion.

Count me as one of the few who have had good luck with these mags. But I bought all of mine at 6.99 otd. At this price, I’ll go with c-products for metal mags, or stick with magpuls elsewhere on sale.

Got 10 of these and 10 pmags from one of their specials. The dh aluminum mags feel lighter and more anemic than actual military issue mags. They function just fine, but I question their durability if dropped fully loaded. Nevertheless, 8.99 is still the best price anywhere else for the same thing.

The best part of these was how cheap they were when they were $6-$7. AT $9 they are competing with PMags and OKay brand GI aluminum- I'm not sure if there's anything about these that would make me choose them over those options.

Its now 8.99 with free shipping on 10+
I have to wonder how high these will go. Usually demand drives up the price..?

$20-$25 a piece, if we don’t make our voices heard come September, when Congress is back in session.

PSA really had the gaul to slap a "Fourth Of July Sale" sticker onto a regular price, then raise it $1 the next day. They're really resting on their laurels. Price is now $7.99, higher than regular.

All the D&H 30rd Mags I've purchased from Palmetto have been 100% reliable and all seat perfectly on a closed bolt fully loaded with 30 rounds. I've used mags dated 2012 threw 2019. Highly recommend them to anyone. PSA also offers a lifetime warranty, if you do have any problems they will replace the mags and pay for the return shipping.

Used one on an army range for qualification. Fed 200 rounds of m855a1 just fine and bolt locked back in a M4a1 carbine. Only issue the ammo chewed up the front of the mag where it feeds.

(didn't take 200 rounds to Qual, just had to leave with no ammo)

Shot em again in an m4 as part of EIA training and worked great.

Don't buy any right now. Then they'll go back down to $5.99 like they used to be.

I bought a bunch with some buddies in the summer of 2016 from Palmetto. These have Palmetto floorplates. Almost all do NOT lock up on a closed bolt Palmetto rifle (various factory built Palmetto uppers with various Palmetto lowers and one Spikes lower.) Here is a link from ARFcom regarding the exact same problem:

https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/DandH_G2G/17-679315/?#i7009286...

Since we got a bunch, I made the mistake of "adding them to the pile" before using them. Now two years later, I notice the issue. It's quite a bummer they don't work, but sure look great. There may be a solution such as "bending the feed lips down", etc. on the internet, but the only advice I would give if you do choose to get some is to run them on your rifles as soon as you get them so you will know right away if there is a problem.

Was mag loaded to capacity? How about 29?

ncgoober, I purchased 10 of these when they were $6.99 with free shipping. The feed great through my Eagle Arms AR, but even with 25 rounds in the mag, they do NOT lock in (tried 29 first, didn't work either). I've pushed as hard as I could even. The mags are new with about 2-3 uses at most, but I personally don't mind since I keep the bolt locked open and it locks open when I empty a mag, so when I insert the new one I let it shut and I'm good to go. And these have the Palmetto floorplates just like NewMexican said.

I missed out by not having enough funds in the bank at the time. Went to the bank the next morning so I could get 12 and they were out. They came back without the free shipping. It did say free shipping on 10+ when this first appeared if you went to the product page.

Not a deal. $8.50 shipping is $1.51 greater than the sale price.

Waiting for the next deal they throw out there. Nice price if you buy 20 or so. At $8.50 minimum shipping for me it would take a bunch to make this a deal.

Shipping comes out to 8.50 (may vary for you) on 1-16. That's cheaper than the normal 8 bucks with free shipping on 10+ if you order 10 or more, but only marginally so ($1.50 on 10) and still not worth shipping in small quantities. Plus you can't stick a mag or two on a kit that ships free. Playing with items and the shipping this is worth it if you're buying something with non-free shipping off PSA anyways (currently the 10 pmags+200 rounds of ammo and 7 pmags+case is the only obvious pairings I see, and both come with mags).

Also worth it if you're buying a really large number (100+ at $7.25) mags, but I don't know who would do that and not be buying wholesale mags.

These could not have been your first steel mags, because these are ALUMINUM mags, NOT steel.

I like these mags, they run flawlessly in my suppressed 300blk with Echo trigger... however. the will not feed more than a singe round in my 556.

I like these better than pmags etc. I bought one of everything to compare and this is what the G.I. mags should be. Better finish. Better spring. Better follower than G.I. mags. Lighter and slimmer than plastic magazines. 8.99 each with free shipping for 10 is also cheaper than most options save maybe hexmags.
