This Primary Arms OPMOD 4-14x44mm Riflescope is available exclusively at OpticsPlanet! The Primary Arms 4-14x44 mm offers First Focal Plane (FFP) optics, keeping the reticle spot-on no matter what modifications you're using. Quality Rifle Scopes are a must for any shooter, hunter, or competitor. Since you may not always be sitting at the bench on a range, this OPMOD scope has a tough construction using 6063 aircraft-grade aluminum that will stand up to the rigors of the field. Plus, it's backed up with a manufacturer's lifetime guarantee. The illuminated reticle has 6 settings and is a BDC-type ACSS HUD DMR 308. It includes features that allow leads for moving targets, windage, range, and bullet drop. Whether you're looking for quick target acquisition or that long-range shot, this scope has you covered. It's tuned specifically to be a 308 scope but also serves well as a 223 scope. Whether you're mounting it to your hunting rifle or an AR platform, it's equally at home and up to any job you want it for. The exposed turrets have Zero Reset and are in 1/10 MIL increments, and the parallax adjusts anywhere from 15 yards to infinity. If you're shooting a .308 Winchester, you just have to try this scope and see for yourself!

Good scope. I own one in 308 and one in 5.56. The 5.56 one unfortunately cuts off the 15 mph windage hold at 1000 yards. I have zero use for that as my shooting currently is done inside of 300 yards, and taking 5.56 out a thousand yards with heavy wind seems impractical, but if it’s described as a feature and if that hold is good until 13x, it should be available at 14x. Speaking of which, this magnification range is kind of weird. Usually you’d encounter 4-16x. I’m assuming the Optics Planet exclusive/OPMOD schtick is what’s behind this loss in upper magnification. Lower magnification is what matters more though as you’re not going to be cranking it up to 14x unless you’re at the range or in a stationary/prone position. 4x combined with the bright illuminated BDC reticle, which at 4x with the FFP design is rather small, is vaguely similar to an ACOG. Illumination is a little mushy on the lower levels for some reason on both scopes, but it’s not bad. It’s something you notice but it doesn’t effect your shots. Crank it up and it crisps up. Ballistic drop compensation and ranging is not illuminated but the etching seems to capture a touch of light and is more visible when the illumination is turned up. Glass is clear at all ranges. Eye relief is pretty short at higher magnifications but that’s to be expected. Parallax works good, “off” every second click in illumination is a huge plus, exposed turrets as well, and minus the 5.56’s 1000 yd. fluke the reticle is awesome. Zero at 100 and you’ve got automatic holds out to 1000 yards. Built-in ranging is useful and the manual (which you’ll have to find online as it doesn’t ship with the scope) should be consulted for alternative ranging if you’re using this scope for hunting. FFP is essential to me for this kind of scope and to get a FFP illuminated scope with a great reticle at this price is a real bargain. For those wondering, it’s compatible with both Primary Arms’s basic and deluxe AR-15 optic mounts, in addition to other 30mm tube mounts. I’d highly recommend this scope. A friend of mine just bought one a few weeks ago per my recommendation and he loves it too. For $200 and change you might as well buy a couple.
Thanks for the review. Some feedback mentions QC issues and compatibility problems with the 556 model at longer ranges, and durability problems with the 308 model. $136 disco chinese scope still a gamble apparently.

$135.99 deal as of 1/30/24. I have this scope and paid $190 for it. I find this to be a screaming deal. Would recommend no doubt at this price.
