Solid rifle for the price. Just keep it clean and lubed

This is absolutely an excellent value. Del-Ton makes some great value ARs. I would choose this over a M&P sport or AR556.
Even a Zaviar lower build kit and PSA complete upper w/BCG is going to cost you about 490 right now (not including tax and shipping) and I would consider this better quality, all factory built and backed by warranty by a reputable mfr.

Biggest differences are the barrel lining, stock type, guard, and ambi. You'll get both sides about the phosphate; choose it if you like running things wet. It's personal preference on the stock; don't see hook design as a major advantage and prefer to start from scratch with an sba3 for obvious reasons. Depending on your optic plans the 7 side mlok may be better for mbus. Never seen a need for ambi, but you NEED it you may want to spend more. I'm sure someone will argue about the all of this. Just to nit pick, finish matching looks like shit on both.

My name is Avery Neilson and I run TheFullNeilson youtube channel. For all those asking if this rifle is any good or not. I have owned ar-15s from Smith & Wesson, Delton, DPMS, Core, Wise Arms, Colt, Anderson, Bushmaster, Palmetto state and probably a bunch of others I am leaving out. I have also built a bunch of ar-15s. This rifle is superb for the money. It has been very reliable. I have learned over owning and building a lot of ar-15s what I like and what I don't. I have learned what is internet myth and what is reality. I setup all my rifles almost exactly like this Delton. Pencil weight barrel, Mid length gas system and an mlok handguard. This rifle as it comes is a better value for the money than anything currently available from any other manufacture. If you do not know how to build a rifle you should buy one of these. It is a perfectly good and reliable rifle as it comes. If you want to add some bells and whistles I recommend a G2S-E trigger or a B-GRF Rapid Fire trigger from Geissele. G2S-E for a DMR longer range rifle, and a B-GRF Rapid Fire trigger for close quarters. If you want Good quality iron sights for the money get some UTG super slim fixed sights. If you want a great red dot for the money buy a Sig Romo 5. Hope this helps anyone new to the game. Have a nice day

I got this rifle some months back for $400 but haven't had a chance to take it to the range. I can say that it appears to be very nicely made. The finish is much better than I expected at this price point and everything feels pretty tight....no rattling...just very well built. I honestly couldn't find anything to complain about with this rifle. The gunsmith at the shop that I have my transfers sent to was just recommending Del-Ton over Smiths and Rugers to a guy when I was in there a few weeks ago if that means anything to you. Like I said I haven't shot it yet but I think I got a steal unless it turns out to run like crap. I've never heard anything bad about them myself so I'm pretty confident it's a solid rifle.

I own it nothing different from any other major brand in the 500-700 price range.

Cetme, I have no experience with it, and I am speaking for myself, you do what you want to do, but If I were going to buy in this +/- price range I personally would go with the Ruger or S & W. Good luck on your choice and possible purchase..

Does anyone have this rifle and can comment on whether it is sloppy or decent for quality control? I know it's not a $2k rifle but also do not want a bottom of barrel ar.
