Introducing the Journeyman, the debut of the first production firearm from Davidson Defense. As any journeyman worker would understand, having quality tools of the trade are an absolute necessity. This was the inspiration behind creating the Davidson Defense Journeyman AR-15.All the firearms in the Journeyman AR-15 line will include a billet upper receiver precision machined from 6061 T-6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum. It’s paired with a slant cut handguard with circle port cuts that were specifically designed to match this upper receiver.The AR-15s in the Journeyman Series are also equipped with Davidson Defense's own serialized Mil-Spec lower receiver, as well as both QPQ Black Nitride barrel and bolt carrier group (BCG) which increases the hardness, durability, and longevity of these higher wear components. Davidson Defense designed this line with the intention of building high-grade firearms for an audience who understands the value of quality tools.

Chambered for 5.56x45 NATO, originally derived from .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO is the standardized and most popular cartridge developed for the AR-15 platform. Utilizing a .22 Caliber projectile, the low mass, high-velocity cartridge allows superior weapons handling with manageable recoil and high accuracy. With a wide variety of ammunition choices on the market, 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15s are 'multi-caliber' and can reliably fire both 5.56x45 NATO and .223 Remington cartridges.

This upper receiver has a standard ejection door and no forward assist. This classic upper receiver will do its job and do it well.
