This was $630 a week ago. I’m not sure why the price jumps around so often.

Whilst I know this is a 14.5 sans MD. midway had (in stock last night) complete SR15 uppers, w/ sights, from KAC in a couple different offerings starting at 1800. Dunno if anyone wants do travel that road but a lil better than DD imho.

Quad rail, no thanks. Not dogging on the quality of BCM, just the quad rail.

Well, I’m glad to hear you’re not dogging on the quality of BCM, because “Daniel Defense” is higher quality and more combat proven than BCM, it might help to read the description.

I really don’t think Daniel Defense is any better than BCM. You’ll pay more for the same thing for the name. BCM has been a lot more popular lately because of its quality and cost compared to D&D. I like my DDM4, but my MCMR BCM is just as quality, whereas the PSA’s Iv built aren’t as fitted or finished as well, still function pretty much the same for a quarter of the price.

You’re right, I should’ve just said more combat proven, as for them being lower priced, both DD last GEN and BCM last GEN rifles are the same price selling at $1500 to $1700 more or less depending on which store you’re buying from, and I can’t even find BCM/MK2 current GEN rifles for sale anywhere, so I can so I can’t make a price comparison, but I have seen the DD RIII current GEN rifles at $1700 at several stores, if you can find an MK2 for sale somewhere let me know.

and colt is more combat proven than all of them, what is the point of that again?

Sure, I see where you wanna go with this combat proven thing, so was the ArmaLite/Colt M16 (The soldiers in Vietnam would say different) and before that,
The M14 and before for that, the M1 Garand, and before that,The Springfield M1903 the list goes on,
And that same manner of thinking would say that the AK-47 is the most combat proven of them all,
Buddy, the colt M4 has been outdated for about 20 years, they charge way too much for what you get, and every other AR15 company makes what Colt makes for about Half the price, and even with Colt’s new ambidextrous AR15 I would still choose BCM MK2 over it, Colt doesn’t even have a well designed free floating hand guard, which in today’s combat world it is a necessity,
so if you would like to run that by me again and give me a real reason why Colts so much better,
I will listen.

You compare bcm to dd by “combat proven” and then argue against yourself. You forgot to put the Kentucky long rifle in your comparisons. If you would know anything the colt isn’t outdated and a free float is not a necessity. A doctor cant tell what rifle company you were shot by. The 5.56/223 cartridge is outdated, you get your limited knowledge from watching to many videos with no real life experience. Dd, bcm etc ar’s are based off the “outdated” design. Explain to us novices how this dd is so different than a 80’s m4

You seem to be kind of reaching, but I listened,
I am going to start with the first of your list, “arguing against myself” I’m guessing you’re referring to when I said, “I would take the BCM MK2 over it” I was referring to the Colt, not the DD, if you would study your guns, you would know what the MK2 is and why it is better,
Yes, I forgot to put Kentucky rifle on the list,
And no, the free-floating rail is not a necessity when you’re running a slick rifle, but if you are running a PECK (A laser/IR combo if you do not know what that means) and M203,
a suppressor then it is a necessity which I’m sure you know soldiers need and use nowadays,(unless you’ve been living under a rock)
As for the doctor, that’s just an excuse an old person would make,
As for 556 be an outdated, I’m not even going to get into that conversation and I didn’t even mention it anywhere in my comment so you’ll have to make that decision for yourself,
As for where I get my knowledge from, from years of talking to people who have had Real world experience reading from people who’ve had a Real world experience and watching videos from people who have had Real world experience, and by the way you’re talking it does not sound like you’ve had any either, or you would be talking in a more professional manner, and I have not had time to get real world experience i’m 19,
as for the DD Being better than the M4 that would be the hand guard the way it’s designed, it’s bombproof been used since 2005 and it’s still up-to-date especially with their new design the RIII, now the rifles have fully ambidextrous lowers,
And there are plenty of other rifles are just as good as a Daniel defense or better, especially with there gas piston designs which I’m not gonna get into at this moment.

What suppressor is standard issued? Adding weight, length and a point of failure sounds like a great idea. Why would you use a suppressor? You’re a wanna be that will never be

1 vote

Wow,
Suppressors have been used in special forces for years they reduce sound signature, almost completely eliminate the muzzle flash, confuse the enemy on which direction to shots are being fired from, increase muzzle velocity therefore range,
As for failure points modern weapons are made for suppressors where the M4 might fail,
And yes, if the government has there way with the XM5 suppressors will be standard issued,
And with all the added benefits of a suppressor soldiers would be stupid not to want to use them, And before you ask if you’re wondering if they’ll get too hot like barrels, yes they will but that’s why they have a quick detach so you can take them off when they get too hot and keep shooting,
As for POI shift if you’re wondering modern suppressor technology has pretty much kept it down to a very minimal,
Especially the ones the military usually adopts like The Surefire SOCOM suppressors,
And for me, wanting to be a soldier, I can’t say,
And that was not apart the argument although you sure seem to want it to be, and while you’ve been real interested on my background you haven’t said anything on yours,
you seem to be talking real big on that subject but you’ve got nothing to back yourself up,

And here’s just a little bit of advice, before you make a comment like you just did be sure you do your research so you can be correct,

I’m sure you think I’m an arrogant dickhead Who thinks he knows everything, no, I don’t know everything but I do know what I know, and that is guns and gun accessories, optics,
combat gear to an extent (I still have a good bit to learn in the combat gear section),
And a few room clearing tactics, shooting positions, Night vision, etc.

I'm an Edge Member and can only get to $750 on this. Is there some other secret sauce? Thanks!

You read it wrong, it was the order subtotal that was $750 not the item ,$77 was taken off the product but your tax is $50 and your shipping is $8.50, so therefore $750.
