Good to see the prices of these coming down a little. May have to start another SBR using one of these soon.

At $825 shipped its a little higher than I was hoping to pay, but it is the lowest 'in stock' price I have seen on it yet. I just couldn't wait any longer to get my hands on one so I put in an order from Impact Guns on April 15. As of today, April 24, the gun is 'Awaiting Carrier Pickup' to be shipped. So it has taken a little while longer to ship than I had hoped but at least it should be on its way very soon.

I agree they should be no more than a Polymer pistol, because that is what it is. What purpose or capability does this have that say a CZ P09 with a 20 round mag have. They were made to be machine guns not oversized clumsy pistols. You can buy an Ar or Ak pistol for $400 and change, why would anyone want a 9mm designed to be a full auto weapon, without the capability to go full auto?
It looks like it's appeal is to the guys who have to buy anything that they think is "Tactical", when it's not. One would be more accurate with a Glock 34 or similar pistol than this. It's a lot easier to grab a 9mm with a 20 round mag than this thing in the same HD situation, Just my 2 cents.

I get all that, but H&K sells polymer pistols for $800 all the time (if it were up to me they'd rot on the shelf, but so would Glocks @$535). Can you do the same with a 9mm AR pistol? Yes, for about $500ish (price of a Glock) This is an obscure seller, but should do the trick at SD distances, add a lower and (over budget) an S3G trigger for fast RoF:

If you want 9mm, a handy AR-like carbine, that takes Glock mags, for about $550 at Centerfire:

But if you want the cool looking 9mm PDW, and don't want to spring up to an MP5 ($800-1200) or the like, then the Scorpion is the only choice. Not for me, but some will sell.

This is a steep price. I am sure they will come down after awhile. It may not be the best tactically, but that doesnt mean that it isnt fun to shoot. Kind of like the country girl driving a 1-ton dually mega cab pickup to the grocery store, totally unnecessary, but she likes to drive that big ol' truck anyway. Still America, have fun and buy what you like and have fun with it. If practical is what you want everyone to have, then get a 12ga pump, a 30-06 bolt action and a reliable 9mm. But that is a boring life indeed!

I have to agree with most of what you are saying. In addition, the whole Sig Brace issue nullifies one of their selling points. CZ is by far my favorite manufacturer, but I just can't justify paying so much for this one.

No idea of the cost to produce these but I think 400 dollars should be the street price for what it is.

They easily cost more than 400$ to make. You are probably one of those people that thinks glocks should cost 100$ because of the cost to make but forget about liability insurance, living wages for workers, import costs ...

Ruger sells the SR9 for under $400 every day. The SR9e around $300 by dropping a mag and cheaper slide metal/work. Gaston won't match that, because he doesn't have to. He did release a largish 380 before the 9mm so he could rake in the profits from both. Can you tell I don't own a Glock?

No, I am one of "those people" who see a modern day Uzi and don't open their wallets, drop their pants, and spread their cheeks.
