CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Battleship Grey
Finally available for public consumption is the much anticipated Scorpion sub-gun. Imported as a pistol, it is a blowback-operated semi-auto in 9mm with a short 7¾” barrel. Equipped with CZ's newly designed low-profile sights, its rear sight has four different aperture sizes for everything from close quarters to way out there. The sights ride on an 11” Picatinny rail perfect for mounting optics. Starting in 2016, Scorpion Pistols feature 1/2×28 threads hidden underneath the factory flash-hider, meaning users can fit either 1/2×28 or 18×1 accessories to the muzzle. Also added is a QD sling swivel pocket integrated into the rear sling attachment point.
Simple and reliable, the Scorpion not only has ambidextrous controls, its non-reciprocating charging handle is swappable and reach to the trigger is adjustable.
Our favorite accessory for the Scorpion pistol is their new arm brace adapter, which quickly and easily adds an AR-style pistol buffer tube to the rear of the action, enabling the use of an arm brace for added stability.

Rather my Ruger Charger! But they look cute!

I Have the PC Charger and the Extar EP9 - Scorpion is overpriced trash compared to both.

you like the EP9? been eyeballing one myself. Is it well made and reliable? any downsides?

I purchased mine and prior to taking it to the range I picked up the side folding brace, the HB extended charging handle, HB safety blank, and the HB extended mag release. I absolutely love this gun. I only have about 500 rounds downrange but it's accurate, consistent, the irons are fantastic, and I've had 0 failures. Throw in the availability of 30 round mags for less than $20 and the easy takedown and this thing is a beast...

I totally enjoy this gun at the range. Loading the mags kinda sucks but so far 1500 rounds can’t lie. I ring 8 inch plates at 200 yards with a sig red dot. Though after 3 mags standing up this thing gets heavy. I use a sling, no brace here

I will take a regular ass high capacity 9mm pistol. You can keep the extra plastic and weight that give you nothing extra. Thanks.

You must not realize the benefit of an SBR or braced pistol let alone the added advantage of the much longer sight radius or longer barrel. Comparing something like this to a "high capacity 9mm pistol" is like comparing a El Camino to a full sized pickup.

A non-FA subgun is useless - SBR or not. It exists to poke holes in paper. Everything it does, an AR platform SBR does better. This thing is a range toy at best.

I prefer this gun, with a folding "brace" as my home defense gun. If you ever intend to buy a suppressor, this gun smashes any AR platform in regards to gassing. Even if you want to compare it to an AR-9. I'd also say it's more reliable than an AR platform in adverse conditions, while also being easier to clean and not getting caked in carbon like an AR does. The sights are also far better than what you'll find on an AR. With the exception of the traditional m4 sight picture that requires a carry handle. Those are my absolute favorite sights. However, then you deal with increasing it's overall size. I love my AR but there are clear advantages the scorpion possesses. It is mainly a range toy and home defense weapon. I fail to see why that's a bad thing, though.

Inside my house to 100 feet outside of it this would be my go to choice for defense. Travelling outside that a 10 inch AR pistol at minimum.

Guess you've never fired a short barreled AR at night in tight quarters....you are blind for the next few seconds and the side blast will give you a new hairdo. Also a 9mm SBR-ish is much easier to stay on target (for the entire mag), especially for smaller people. An AR is great though for shooting someone hiding behind your neighbor's fridge.

Ok ok… decent points.

Still needs FA though...and 10mm.

Have to add the cost of a brace also. Without it, it’s nothing but a range toy. Wanted this for when staying in hotels, but doesnt fit in hotel room safes.

What SBR-ish firearm would "fit in hotel room safe?"

BTW hotel room safes are placebo to make you feel safe. Never noticed the combo or key number sticker right on the body if the safe?

That is why you change the combo.

Favorite of my sub guns by far. Some caveats though: Get the HB industries spring kit (mine had a 10 lb trigger), the HB extended charging handle and an SB Tactical folding brace. Co-witnesses well with a standard red dot (1/3). As stated, this thing is an industrial garbage disposal for any shitty 9mm you feed it. IMHO you’ll spend another 3-400 in accessories to get it perfectly suited. Oh, get the Manticore mags too if you end up with the plastic feed lip mags.

Any owners of this gun that could share their experience? I'm trying to justify the price tag vs. picking up a psa 9mm or extar 9.

I've shot ~500 rounds through mine, and I'll highlight what I prefer about it over an AR platform.

1. The charging handle. I HATE the AR-15 charging handle, so I'm a tab biased, but the side charging handle and paddle are great.
2. Quicker and easier to clean
3. More battle tested. Specifically against the "ar-9" platform modification. Not m-16,m416 etc
4. Far more suppressor friendly. AR platforms gas you to no end, the scorpion is a real world beater when suppressed
5. CZ quality vs PSA or extar. I'm not a PSA hater by any means, they make solid stuff. But CZ is, well..CZ
6 . AR-9s are ugly af. Yes, this point is trivial and in no way relates to function but it's true .

My favorite gun and I have many. I would suggest getting 30 rd mags from Midwest. I have the all black model and have owned it for 3 years. 0 issues and feels great in the hands. Solid built.

Own this and the Bren. The scorpion has become my favorite range gun. I did add a sb tactical brace. And the Bren has a action that is as smooth as butter. Don’t worry about the price it is well worth it. It is accurate and eats anything you put into it. Psa 9 is nothing special.

It’s too bad you’ll probably end up replacing all those grey parts.
