A quick read through of history shows that most Czech's were anti-Stalinization. I wonder if they sell this model in the Czech Republic.

are you sure the "spelling errors" arent just font errors.. idk
but the real deal is why would anyone want a cz anyways..
yea ive read all the hype.. its total crapola... hype and nothing else..

Confirming that the spelling errors are not just font errors. Ь and Ъ are two separate letters in the Russian language.

It's not crap at all kid.

They make some of the best stuff available.

You're right. You had better stick to Daisy....in .177 since a .22 or .25 kick too much, right ?

If you want to get a pistol with engraved spelling errors (in Russian) then go ahead, I wouldn't.

Here is what it says (according to the pictures):
МОДЕЛъ 75 ...
СДЕЛАНО В ЦЕХОСЛОВАКИИ

Here is what it supposed to say:
МОДЕЛЬ 75
СДЕЛАНО В ЧЕХОСЛОВАКИИ

It sounds different as well (if you read it as is), especially the name of the former country (Чехословакия).

The original run of these pistols (perhaps 10 years ago) did have correct spelling, but not this one. So if you think you are buying the proper re-issue, you are not.

So if they make more than 999, what's the point of limited edition then..Also this new version have correct spelling, could anyone confirm?

The number of misspellings in all these engravings is absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't they find a russian speaker to proof read ? Some are actually funny as they twist the meaning. Lol. I guess they hoped as long as the red star and hammer/sickle are there its good enough for Americans. This is shameful.

Could you please elaborate and give an example comrade? My Ruskie is not so good.

I found a couple.
On the frame, it reads, made in Czechoslovakia. In Russian, the name of this country is spelled Чехословакия. The engraving on the frame is misspelled reading, Цехословакия. The funny thing is, Цех means a department or production line (as in assembly line). The misspelled country name can be loosely translated into English as 'a Slovakia (country) production department'. Not Slovakian. Slovakia as a big production line the size of the country.
Also, the word model is misspelled. In Russian, the word is spelled Модель. It ends with the letter called soft sign ь. A sound akin to how the letter L sounds in the English word left. This word on the slide is misspelled as they used the letter called hard sign ъ. This letter is silent (not pronounced) in Russian. Using it will make the word sound like the same word (model) in English. No soft ending. To a Russian, this word will sound funny as this is an example of broken Russian frequently used by other ethnic groups residing in the Russian Federation or the former USSR. Hope this makes sense.
Do these misspelled words make this item highly collectable? Like a defective coin or a postal stamp (smile).

Maybe it's just to highlight commie production values.

I doubt the misspelled words make the quality of the renowned CZ75 firearm any lower. Personally, i would not buy a firearm with these engravings even if the words were spelled correctly. This is a firearm, not a toy.

"Was joke" in heavy slav accent. I did appreciate the through explanation.

The Cold War never ended. Just because Obummer slowed military spending and canceled the F-22 doesn't mean it's over. China and Russia never slowed. Neither did Iran or N Korea.

These are more expensive because CZ is now a known and much desired entity in the US ( no longer the best kept secret which is of course a double edged sword). I have shot tens of thousands of rounds thru a variety of CZ’s and have NEVER EVER EVER HAD A JAM related to the pistol (I have had one out of 6000 dead primer in my Speer Lawman TMJ (which is pretty dam good ratio) lol. CZ’s are just an incredibly reliable and robust system. The world has now discovered that and they are in high demand.

What has changed in 2 years to warrant a price increase on these from $400 to $650? Am I missing something here?

2010 was 6 years ago not 2. What happened was uncontrolled quantitative easing

These things go back to Nov 2010, 5 years later they still have not sold 999 of them, that says a lot.

If they are saying USSR left eastern europe in 1990-1991, that was 25 years ago vice 20, the write up is from 2010.

Different commemorative edition. They look really cool and I love the history but I wish KGC would offer a special on them.

I would not buy it. I'm former Russian (actually Soviet :-)) lieutenant in reserve and I can tell you the "Russian lettering" is definitely wrong (they even got the former country name wrong):

МОДЕЛъ 75
СДЕЛАНО В ЦЕХОСЛОВАКИИ

It should have been:

МОДЕЛЬ 75
СДЕЛАНО В ЧЕХОСЛОВАКИИ

CZ Customer Service has still not responded to my inquiry about fixing this error.

Well, that's embarrassing. CZ couldn't find one Russian dude to proof read it? Reminds me of a girl I knew who got a tramp-stamp tattoo of a Chinese character and wasn't even sure what it meant.

Can confirm. I wonder, if they outsourced lettering and had a bunch of flawed units that they are discounting now.
Here's a properly engraved one:
