Hey everyone! This write up on the CRU Arms TEMP556 was just released the other day from FirearmsNews. You can check it out here:

I'd leave a review here if I ever get my rifle. This is by far the longest I've waited for a firearm. Between my personal wait and the rest of these comments I have a feeling the rifle wasn't actually "in stock".

Did you get your rifle? If so, what are your impressions of it? Thanks

Sorry I forgot to include my cell on my last message. You can call me at 260-416-6017. If I don't answer or am on the other line, please send me a text message. - Nate

I'm sorry for the long wait and for the frustration this has caused you. We do have a delayed shipping notice of 10 to 14 business days on this item on our website. We are constantly trying to build to keep up with demand. If you want to text me your info, I would be happy to see where your order is at.

I'm still waiting on my Stribog from GunZoneDeals. Ordered and paid on 11/22 and finally got shipping notification that it is supposed to be at FFL on Friday 12/9. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for a gun. It takes 2 weeks just to ship and 18 days to FFL?

Please text me your order information to 260-416-6017. I would be happy to look into your order and see what took so long if you would like.

Kinda like closing the gate after the horse is out. How is it going to help me to know why it takes almost 3 weeks to receive an order after I already waited? I emailed customer service last week (after 8 days) and they said it would be shipped next week. If someone really cared, that would have been the time to do something.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I would like the opportunity to look into your order and see what happened so that we can make any necessary changes so we can improve things. If our customer service team or order fulfillment team fell short, I would want to know that so we can improve. I cannot do that without knowing who you are and without the information on your order. If you send me your information 260-416-6017

Thank you Nate. I appreciate your prompt attention to this and can now understand what happened with my order. It's not often that a company takes the time to respond to issues as quickly as you have. Your personal concern for my satisfaction is the best customer service anyone can ask for. You've earned my trust and future business. Thanks again!

This is the Mil-Spec trigger model and seems overpriced at $1,800.00 Eh.

Thank you for leaving your comments. We will be offering this gun with an upgraded TriggerTech Trigger in the near future. Also because this rifle can accept AR15 trigger's once can easily drop in the trigger of their choice. We feel that the Templar priced at $1,800 is quite competitive when you look at its competitors: (Sig Sauer MPX/Spear, FN SCAR 16s, CZ Bren2) etc. I say that because it is priced less than most of its competitors and comes with a lifetime transferable warranty. The Templar also does not have a plastic lower as both receivers are machined from billet 6061 Aluminum.

Apologies, Nate. I was thinking this was DI, not realizing it’s a pistol platform. Comparing to the DRD Aptus or Foxtrot Mike FM-15 is very unfair.

For $1800, it’s really not a bad deal then. I’m not a buyer, as I’ve sold off all my piston-driven guns (aside from my Yugo), but this may give the MCX a run for its money…

We need accuracy, reliability, and torture tests…

several new comments at the same time only from new users only with glowing and fawning reviews of the same deal......no worries on my end, just a bit odd.... :) I love you Nate...Merry Christmas!

Agreed. Something is fishy - between the trolling comments earlier and now the raving reviews indicating experience with the weapon system… I just don’t know.

Looks OK, and initial video’ed feedback looks OK. It could be a good buy. I’ve done a lot of business with GZD, and they’ve been above-board so far. Don’t know about the Crusader, though.

Fortunately I already have a DRD Aptus, and that ticks all the same boxes for me.

Some of these comments sound suspiciously like paid advertisements...a bit gross...wonder if I get a special deal if I respond in next 30 minutes. Glad rifle is nice and you all like GZD though...

These are not paid advertisements. It is logical for one to conclude that a person could see the ad here and then purchase the Templar through GZD and then leave feedback on both the item and the retailer. If I had to guess we will see more comments like this as well as a negative comment from time to time. It seems to be what happens in any forum or marketplace. We do appreciate the feedback both good and bad as it helps other prospective buyers who might be considering the Templar and it helps the manufacture know what improvements can be made in the future.

Nate, it’s just that the timing is suspect.

Have these rifles started to ship, arrive, and be picked up from folks now? Probably.

It would also make sense for GZD or Crusader Arms to invite purchasers to offer their experience and insight into communities such as this, and (in many cases) we’ve witnessed offers for discount codes after doing so. There’s no shame in that, if it’s the case.

Keep communicating with us here and on the Reddit forum of the same name. The gun community has a problem with conspiracies, paranoia, and overt suspicion. It’s just part of the game.

I understand what you mean. We have quite a few that have shipped out to customers and we have another batch of 25 that are sold and getting ready to ship out in the next few days. We are trying to get more units on to the market as quickly as possible. We hope that as more units hit the market people share their thoughts. We also welcome constructive criticism so we can improve the platform.

Really nice rifle. Lots of fun to shoot with a quality fit and finish. Highly recommend the team at GunZone great customer service!!

This is one terrific rifle, and we couldn't ask for better service from Gunzonedeals.com! The gun is built like a tank, but not heavy like one! A mid-length piston system with a monolithic upper, side charging, takes AR triggers, 1/2x28 threaded barrel and a folding stock! Got a great deal from Nate over at Gunzonedeals, and super fast shipping - which is really saying something since these guns have been really difficult to get! Should I want to part with it at some point in the VERY distant future LoL, it has a lifetime transferable warranty - seriously.. Who does that?

2 votes
2 votes

You say "we couldn't ask for better". I'm curious about who the "we" is you're talking about. Did someone else chip-in with you to purchase the firearm? Or by "we" are you speaking of yourself along with the other new handles (possible cohorts) who all posted glowing reviews of the seller right here on gundeals on the same day?
Hell, Hi-Point® Firearms has a lifetime transferable warranty on their firearms.

When did you receive your rifle? Have you had it to the range yet? What kind of grouping have you had? Reliability?

All of your points of feedback are regarding the transaction, not the equipment. People here want to know about your experience with that, please.

I have not yet had time to shoot it. So I didn't comment on that part. But it came quickly and fit and finish are quite good. I'll be happy to let everyone know about my shooting experience once I've had a chance to put it through its paces!

5 days ago you said it was one terrific rifle (an $1800 rifle!) yet you haven't even shot it! Please don't give reviews for any serious buyers.

Why so needy? Fit and finish are very good. I shot it at 100 yards using an Sig Romeo4S and a crappy Sightmark 3x magnifier. I used Igman .223 55gr ammo and 60 rounds. There are 3 flyers, and that's just me and yes, it IS annoying.

Brand new users, not even 3 days old & with no other engagement leaving glowing comments about the vendor when the typical review here speaks almost exclusively about the item - that's a fair concern. Whether the optics that GZD is facilitating it or not are correct? IDK. You downvoting people for raising valid red flags around the bad optics of these new "members" and their suspicious lack of engagement or longevity here is not going to garner the brand affinity you're hoping it will. I mean, GunDeals sub-Reddit literally cited "astroturfing" as one of the reasons they blacklisted GZD (along with "litigation threats" *eyeroll*), and they provide links to citations so yeah...it's a valid concern.

I have no dog in the fight, and no current intention of buying one at this price, but can you elaborate as to the very poor quality, fit, and design please? "Heavily damaged and overall crap" viewpoint is concerning as well.

Where did you get this gun from, then? If you didn't receive it from GZD, then how? What's your source for "very poor quality, fit, and design"?

think there is some confusion here my friend...my comment and Nate's were in reply to a negative report by "KillaGorilla" which has since been removed entirely...I was quoting that person's comment

What is the name of your store? GZD is the only distributor of this item? If in fact you received any of these guns in your store that were not in " perfect" condition, we would want to know about it and be sure to exchange the unit for a perfect one. When you say the item was heavily damaged, what does that mean? Also why would you have sent it out anyways if it was not acceptable. Please feel free to call or text me at 260-416-6017 as I am happy to assist with any issues that your customer may have experienced. So far we have had nothing but positive reviews from our customers. That being said if a bad one made it out we would like the chance to make it perfect for those customers.

If you have photos of a gun you or someone you know received that had a bad finish, can you please text it to me at 260-416-6017? I will assist with getting that resolved. We want all of our customers to be happy with the product and if something was sent out and not up to snuff, we want to know about it and have a chance to fix it. I made the assumption that you tried to attached a photo of an issue?

Noooo Nate, nothing like that. The image I tried to post didn't have anything to do with a Templar or any other firearm. It was just a goofy troll themed meme that was relevant to BPuff57's comment I replied to. Just a fun thing.
EDIT: Hey, I see that tacticalshit is advertising the Templar at the same deal. I reckon it's safe to assume they purchased these legitimately through GZD?
