These particular ones are made by a Turkish company called Girsan. As for quality, many say yes, some say meh, but my biggest worry would be a lack of spare parts when a part fails. Chiappa isn't known for its customer support and as far as I know, nobody else is importing them under their name. Zenith used to, but there's nothing on their website about them anymore, so probably a dead end there.
I wonder if this chiappa M9 in .40 caliber is as big of a piece of crap as their M9 in .22? That's a huge pile of crap, heavy, horrible fit and finish and an even worse trigger....why's Berreta allowing full caliber copies I wonder?
