I just ordered the same M4 Scout with low profile gas block and awaiting delivery. After I get a chance to put some rounds through it will post what I think. Did research and wanted a PSA but they seem to be "out of Stock Firearms, Inc." these days. Core apprears to be as mil-spec and reviews are at least 90% 4.5-5/ 5. They are relatively new so not a lot of history so took a chance on what looked to be a bargain.

Also just noticed Buds raised this price from $630 to $681 on this model.

I own one of these cheapo core 15's. Barrel is not chrome lined. 1:7 twist on mine. Gas key was not staked! Stock has a lot of play. It's fine if you want a CHEAP AR-15 but really, why not spend an extra $200 and get better quality? Positive note: I put a DPMS 3G upper on and it was a perfect fit, couldn't have been any tighter.

This place sucks, Not only is the websites is poorly designed including multiple irritating pop ups, staff is incompetent, and the have many B.S. policies and charges. I will never buy a firearm from Bud's and hope you are smart enough to do the same.

The gun looks great I am looking for a deal somewhere else.

I may have missed something but I read the description twice. Is the barrel chrome lined and what's the twist rate? Usually Core 15 lines their barrels and twist is 1:7, but I didn't see it anywhere and it's seems a little under-priced so I'm wondering if they went el-cheapo on this build.

Edit: After doing some research, it looks like the barrel isn't chrome lined and is a 1:9 twist. Darn.

Yeah I agree.... Since seeing this on Buds earlier this week I've done quite a bit of reading on it and have heard nothing but good things...

Anyone have any opinions on Core 15 in general, and/or this particular rifle?

These are awesome. Remember who the market is flooded with these days. A guy at the range has a couple of them. Believe me when I tell you this.. I've shot them both and this rifle shoots every bit as good as my LMT.

FACT:As far as accuracy and reliability goes, these shoot just as good as ANY rifle 3 times it's price. Will it last the 20-30 thousand rounds that the others claim to go? I dunno, but at price ratio of 3:1, you can arm 3 people in the meantime or get 15-20 thousand rounds out of each... Another thing, if they stick to their warranty like they claim to, there's another detail that's hard to beat.

Buy what you want, but their intended purpose is to sling lead reliably and accurately. These do that just fine without the frills and hype. Everything else is fluff for profit.

I'm very happy with mine. I'd recommend you call and ask them to put it in an email if they say its 1:7. I ordered this model a year ago and was pleasantly surprised to have received a 1:7. http://core15rifles.com/core15-m4-scout-rifle.html...
It appears this model comes in 1:7, 1:8 or 1:9. Another person in Buds reviews were pleasantly suprised as well (and no I don't work for buds) "First time AR owner & I'm thrilled to own this weapon. Did a lot of research & this seems unmatched for the money. This system is 100% milspec & was shocked to see the 1:7 stamp on the barrel. Someone else mention there's was 1:9, not sure what happened there. But I love the construction, features, company, price & warranty. If you're thinking about it look no further, just pick this up while the price is right. "

I paid $100 more for mine. Great deal.
