Description

PSA GEN2 PA10 COMPLETE CLASSIC LOWER RECEIVER - 77932912 - The Gen2 PA10 receivers are functionally compatible with the Gen1 receivers, however we recommend matching Gen2 lowers to Gen2 uppers for best appearance. There are external cosmetic differences when mixing gen1 and Gen2 upper and lower receivers that some may not find appealing.

These item links are all screwed up on this particular post. There's 3 different hotlinks and they all go to the same lower. Why is there a $159.00 lower with $17 shipping and a $179.00 lower with free shipping? The 3rd link to the upper goes to the lower too... Great deal, but the post needs some editing.

I was disappointed when I noticed the increased price on this upper.

(edit) Strange the below review was for the $480 complete PA10 with standard handguard and I was comparing it to the $550 PA10 that I had purchased. Now the review is for just a lower and doesn't make sense. Oh well..

Just got my 20"HBAR/free float rail/ACSS stock/EPT version
First impression is that it's a beast.
The trigger is sweet (zero takeup/no grit) and I doubt that I would want it any lighter.
The rail seems quite sturdy.

You should think hard if you do this low-cost entry or spend another $70 for the extra features.
You certainly can't do the upgrades later for just $70

Just got mine, and going by looks along, a very nice rifle. Debating buying another. They can't stay this low forever.

A lot of times they’ll just have the complete uppers or the complete lowers in stock, one or the other. You get the one in stock and wait for the other. Sign up for the in stock notification, and their emails so you know what deals are going on before everyone else. If it’s a real smoking deal, by the time it gets on here you may not have long before it goes out of stock!

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. When I click the link to "buy from Palmetto" it takes me to their site but it's only a complete lower and it's out of stock...but this post was updated today and yesterday. 9.22.18

Well I don't blame you. The description is of no help. Essentially all you have to do any day of the week (when they are in stock) is browse through the site and buy the cheapest complete upper (with bcg and ch) and cheapest complete lower. But even then the rifle is not really complete in my opinion, you'll still need to purchase a magazine and a rear sight (or some kind of optic that is not hindered by the front sight post).

You have to find the upper yourself bruh.

Any opinions on their free-float handguards? Are they decent? I have UTG slimline on all 3 of my AR-15’s. Is PSA’s a clamp on??

Thinking about spending $20 extra for the MOE EPT lower and $50 more for the free-float upper

I own the version exactly as shown however I wish I had sprung for the railed handguard. Not sure how it is attached however with .308 ARs it's a gamble of what aftermarket will fit.

How are the accuracy on these vs an Armalite or S&W ? Anyone with any real input or experience with all with AR10 platform accuracy on these rifles ?

To txchen :

Yes I hunt with my PA10's. I haul them up the mountains, but prefer to go to a tree stand. Since they are noticeably heavier than the AR15.

One of my favorite brush guns is a AR15 pistol chambered in 7.62x39. Similar ballistics to the 30-30, but in a semiautomatic, customizable platform. Plus a soft point round is just 25 cents!

Yes the PA10s were cheaper a few months ago, but a AR10 for $500-$600 is a great deal. I would suggest the EPT lower, worth the extra few bucks when their in stock.

Is it possible if I can please get your build sheet for the 7.62x39 AR pistol? I want one, but I have no idea of where and what parts to get.....such as, who carries a pistol lower, that also accepts AK mags, etc.....

Karri’s Guns refuses to sell complete uppers and complete lowers in the same cart. Perhaps they have a different reading or perhaps PSA just eats the cost of the excise.

I thought Karries guns only refused to ship pistol uppers with any lower in the same box. Their policy is that if you order an upper and a lower on the same order they automatically cancel your whole order. They had a big warning about it. It all might go back to that excise tax.

PSA will always ship uppers / lowers separately. If memory serves they ship upper to your house, not the FFL and there are actually different order numbers when all is said and done.

$579 for an ar10 is about as cheap as it gets. Hell of a deal here.

Updated price is now $547 shipped for future reference.

For future reference, current price is $479.98. I mention this because the convincing arguments I see to plop down the scratch are getting more ‘n more convincing, especially with cash doing the talking. (2018.08.19)

Are these headspaced and test fired? MPI inspected? Which of the AR-10 systems do the interchange with?

This morning I bought the upper for the same price but it wasn't a Blem and it had free shipping. They had the same lower for 179 which was 149 a few months ago and free shipping on that too. This morning the non-Blem upper was being knocked on as not a deal and now you all are saying the Blem for the same price is a deal, weird.

The 18" upper is OOS, but the 20" is the same price, rail, bcg and ch. I'd also spend $20 more for the lower with EPT and MOE. Very tempted to pick up it up, seems it would be a decent hunting rifle

Any reason they just don't sell this as a built rifle instead of two pieces? Outstanding price for an AR-10.

Assembled rifles have an 11% Federal Excise Tax included in the price. I wonder, why hasn't the anti tax / pro 2nd amendment "current administration" fixed that?

They sell complete rifles too but most people prefer to save money and push 2 pins together. Plus you can mix and match uppers and lowers when sold separately too. They run great deals on their daily and weekend specials you can see if you get on their email list.
I bought a AR-15 upper and lower from them not expecting much considering the price and was extremely pleased with what I got.

It’s taxed differently so it’s cheaper when not a complete build

Wouldnt the best bang for your buck with a .308 is too buy a jig mil your own AR-10 lower and be able to use all AR-10 parts.. just something i personally have been thinking cause i want to share .308 rounds with my bolt action.

Your question is quite the riddle. Why wouldn't you be able to use .308Win ammo with this AR-10? And most DPMS pattern AR-10 lowers use the same parts.... many which are AR-15 build parts. And this complete assembled lower is more than likely cheaper than a 80% lower with a one time use jig kit. And you know it will work and it has a warranty. PSA sells stripped lowers too if you wanted to build something custom.
PSA AR-10 lowers are cosmetically different from other manufacturers....they even warn you of this on the sites item description.

Not only are PSA's AR-10s different from other manufacturers they even warn you not to mix their Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions. I personally think AR-10s and 9mm ARs are best to source from a single vendor unless you are 100 percent sure the parts are compatible (like a drop in trigger) otherwise you could end up in a never ending game of 'trial and error.'

For about the same price you can buy complete upper and complete lower and push two pins together and be ready to rock!

Although, it is good to build so you can better understand your firearm.

The PA10 has functioned well for me, despite some negative reviews online .

I've heard bad reviews of PSA quality but I've never had any issues. I don't have many PSA parts but the ones I do have are indiscerable from similar parts from reputable manufacturers. I wish they had this as a 16" or a pistol variant for the same price.
