COLT PYTHON (6 IN.)
The Python is back! Building on Colt’s Snake Gun legacy, the legendary double-action revolver returns in stainless steel in 4.25” and 6” barrel lengths. The 2020 Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you’ll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates .38 Special cartridges.

These are bringing down the value of my 1981 blued. They aren't even in the same league.

Updated today 8-12-2020, in stock. $2,499 for a gun that retails for $1,499. Yeah, sign me up for half a dozen.

This website is for Gun deals not “I wished I would’ve bought one back in the day when they were cheaper but then the company quit making them so I gotta have one now no matter how much it costs!” I’ll wait until the price drops. The supply will at some point outweigh the demand.

I'm sure there's a market for it but why someone would paid that much for a handgun heavy enough to anchor a boat is beyond me. But that's just me. Buy away!

Businesses should think twice before posting ads to a “deals” site asking $300 over MSRP. The money gained on such sales will likely be dwarfed by the money lost from customers choosing to do business with the many good businesses that take care of their customers and don’t jack prices despite market conditions that afford the opportunity to do so. Gunprime has been x’d in my book.

Where else offers you the opportunity to be first "wave" to get a new Python? High demand with limited supply equals what? High prices. Get over it.

I'm patient and will wait for businesses that don't price gouge their customers. I'm loyal to those who appreciate me as a customer and don't engage is such practices. There are many. High demand and limited supply equals opportunity to price gouge. That's a choice for a business to make. But, continued production allows for market competition and lower prices. So I'll get it at the lower price and not do business with those who don't appreciate me as a repeat customer enough to not attempt to price gouge me. Many are first to get something in and still give me a good deal and I'll spend my money with them. My choice, my opinion. Get over it!

So basic economics gets you upset? Okay.

Not at all. Why would your rudimentary understanding of economics upset me? We all start somewhere brother. No worries. You'll learn more with time. Hang in there

Bought an new 8" python in blue back in 84 ... I believe I paid $450 back then

That’s about $1150 in 2020 dollars, what this will be selling for in a couple years.

If you want it ASAP then you gotta pay the premium. Stop whining like a bunch of welfare communists. The old fudds can afford a little nibble out of their retirement fund if they want it so bad.

I don’t see how people justify this price. Seems insane to me, and I own a very pricey S&W R8 that I see as moderately insane.

This is old school Python money for a new gun that isn’t hand fit or hand polished. In the real world this should be a $800 gun but they will create artificial scarcity to keep it rare and expensive with huge profit margins for Colt and the retailers,

Where are you finding a NIB python for less than 2k?

Bought a 1969 6” nickel NIB last year box/papers 5 test fired rounds only for $1900 out the door. Cabelas gun library. Gotta know people.

1 out of 1000 sold. That is a statistical anomaly. I mean I bought a like new Scar 16s with Timney trigger for $1400 last fall but they are obviously worth much more. It's the outlier.

That is an incredible find and an incredible gun. Oddly enough I was just listening to Jonny Cash at San Quentin recorded Feb of 1969 but not same day as gun. Man the guy test firing must of been billy the kid!!

I'll never buy another product from gunprime ever again simply because of this greedy shit.

Those laminated Altamont grips are hideous. Can’t even get real rosewood like the originals for a $1500+ gun?
