Does Colt actually make any of the parts anymore?

Per MAC, likely COLT makes none of these components. It is sad COLT is going down this path. Been a COLT fan and bought a few “new old stock” COLT made SOCOM barrels years ago - they shoot great.

$46,440.00? Do I get 100 for that price?
Update: price was corrected :-)

I heard Colt is starting to make the AR again for the public, so weigh the option.

TNTGear is a scam!!!! Look at the reviews on their facebook page.

Dang. Good find. That doesn't look good....at all. I certainly didn't intend to point to a scammer. I've never dealt with them. Hadn't even heard of them 'til I found the lower from a web search. Nothing bad jumped-out at me from the web search. I sent them an email via their website. If they reply I'll probably post it here.

Are these pinned and welded for 16" legal length?

Others have asked that question in the Q&A section of the product page at brownells.com. "Customer Care from Brownells" answers claim; "the muzzle device is not pinned" and that "you will need a longer 1.5" flash hider. A standard A2 is not long enough."

The did not drop the price; they raised it $10 from $499 to $509 while trying to make it look like they dropped the price.

This is a good price for a Colt M4 upper, this is after all THE M4 upper. Same upper as on a U.S. Govt. M4 carbine. This is something the more serious AR guys might buy for a clone build. You won’t lose any money, if you ever decide to sale you will easily get your money back. These are always desirable. Your also correct about paying for the name. You’ll always pay premium on Colt, LMT, BCM and the like.

Umm, no.
Current issue M4 is FN built and they are switching to HK (416's IIRC).
Colt hasn't shipped to .gov in a long time.

Umm yes.

FN does have a contract, however the majority of the M4’s in the armories are still Colt and will be for years. Even if all M4 uppers were replaced with FN or later on with HK rifles it wouldn’t change the fact that these are legit M4 uppers. If these are indeed 6921 uppers, then these are exactly the same as what’s on an M4.

Ignore that douchebag. The guy literally just goes from item to item looking for people to argue with.

Every M4 I have every seen in the active Army is Colt. And every M4A1 issued is a Colt and the Army is still issuing them, brand new, to units.

The only FNs I ever dealt with while in were M16A2s and that was in the very early 2000s.

Of course. Here you are to be the argumentative shithead you cannot fail but to be. How does that link refute Mauritius' post in any way? It doesn't...at all, whatsoever.

Also, Colt developed the M4 design. Therefore, every "M4" upper is a Colt derivative.

Whatever, douche, you are only here to argue....and stomp your feet....and cry...and whine.
I guess the army (note small letters) controls the weapons in the Marines, Air Force, Navy, and Coasties...not to mention about 90 3 letter organizations like cia, fbi, etc etc.
You should know, I mean you were everyones bitch in the foot soldiers...right ?
Suck it up wanker, you don't know, admit it.
The link I posted is from this century and shows a nice FN M4A1 with US military badging....isn't that ironic ?
Of course you also know that Taurus has made them too...right ? for our government ?
And DD.
And Bushmaster.
And Noveske.
Hmmm...didn't know that either, right ?

Once proven irrefutably wrong what kind of response do I get? An honorable thanks for the education? An apology? Anything that expresses humility?

Nope. I get "Whatever" and an internet tantrum.

Of course, everyone already knew it was coming. And here it is.

It's the fact that YOU are wrong and can't face up to that due to your insecurity issues.
Sorry man, maybe you should see a doctor or someone else that can help (shrink).
You stated that all M4s are Colt, nope they are not, hell not all M16s were Colt and I'm talking M16 BEFORE the A1s.
I've even seen a IverJohnson, granted I've only seen 1 of those, but it was a US issue Iver Johnson M16.
Yea I know, you'll whine and cry some more, say I'm wrong, and then say you've personally seen every single rifle in the US arsenal.
Let's hear it bitch.

I did not state they were all Colt. I said every one I had "SEEN" was Colt.

Good luck with that retardation and low self-esteem thing you have going on.
