This is nonsense. Save yourself $300.

Buy the standard LE6920 ($800) and then a quality drop in carbine length rail ($100).

Agreed. I don't see anything special about this. No ungraded parts minus the quad rail.

Cheaper at Walmart if you can still find one.

As i understand Socom on rifle means barrel is an HBAR with M203 mounting cuts. the SOCOM profile was designed to better handled full auto fire. they are heavy, the accuracy gain between the SOCOM and std gov't profile is zero.

Great deal on a fantastic rifle. The Knights rail is really nice but it would be nice it it came with some smaller rail covers so if you mount something you can cover the rest of the rail.
For that price you can afford to pick up some shorter ones.

Special Operations Command. This is the Umbrella Headquarters for all the Armed Services Special Operations units; US Army Delta Force, Special Forces, Rangers and Helicopter units (160th Aviation Regt); for the US Navy, the SEALS and ANGLICO units; for the US Marine Corps; Force Recon and sometimes the Anti-terrorist units of the MEU's; and for the US Airforce, the Forward Air Controllers, the PJ's, the Weather units which are part of the Regional Command, the Pilots of the Special Air units which have gunships and other airplanes; and also for NATO/ Pacific Nations, when mixed country/ coalition units come under control of US headquarters ( ie, British, French, Australian SF style forces). I spent 1 yr with SOCPAC (SOCOM-Pacific theatre) as a tech weenie...

What unit were you with? I was in PACAF for 5 years and am now at AFSOC HQ (Hurlburt) working the 3D0X3 mission.

Awesome! You can tell I was not in the military. I did know the words Special Operations Command but did not know its meaning nor what it means when a weapon is labeled SOCOM. Thanks all for serving our country!
