Well, back in 1990 Cimarron founder and president "Texas Jack" Harvey did exactly that, and came up with the Cimarron Thunderer .45LC Revolver. It's produced only by A. Uberti exclusively for Cimarron Firearms Co. The barrel is 3.5", which is perfect for carrying it at your hip. The frame is constructed of case hardened steel. The grip is made of a single piece of walnut, making it a full-hand hold and providing better grip. The whole frame is blued for greater corrosion resistance and to increase performance. Little did Texas Jack know that when he combined classic revolvers together, he was going to get one of today's most sought after single-action wheel guns. But you'll be very glad he did. Harder is better. Case-hardening is the process by which low-carbon iron is packed within a substance high in carbon. It's then heated so the carbon can migrate into the surface of the iron. A thin lay of higher carbon steel then forms on the surface layer. The carbon content content gradually decreases the deeper you get from the surface.
