I just did and a Midwest industries rail mount. Not sure what optic. Either a vortex red dot or mueller 1-4 speed shot.... Was also looking at the leatherwood 1-4 with the 7.62x39 reticle but a little more then I want to spent...
Any suggestions?
This photo shows the original stock with the high comb, but the models currently imported have the typical Warsaw length and height stock. Overall, it is hard to beat for the money, when you consider you are getting an AK built in a military factory with a long history of producing AK rifles. Also, it has a cold hammer forged barrel, which will give you longer barrel life. I paid $529 for mine nearly four years ago. If you are looking to get into the AK game and don't want to spend a lot, then the NPAP or WASR are for you.
Great!! You just made my day;). I was debating on another AR but I already have a safe full. I love the 7.62 round in AR so can't believe I didn't pick one up earlier.... I was watching the Arsenals but could not bring myself to spend $1100...
You can actually make an offer of $560. This is my first AK as they seem to be fairly recommended. At least over the ras47. Hopefully this ends up being a good choice. Seems like a decent deal......
