looks like a decent deal.. Muzzle nut..... is it threaded and ready for a break to be installed? cant tell by the pics....
How can parts kits still be as expensive as complete assembled AKs also built from parts kit. Doesnt make sense. Someones artificially holding those prices up.
Pretty good deal. Didn't they get even cheaper the closer we got to black Friday last year?
these WONT get any chapter 59 left...
No. I remember some $429 Npaps, but I those were the single stack, low capacity units.
Cheapest WASRs were $479. This was at vendors with substantial inventories. I'm sure somebody will find a shop that had rifles for $400 but out of stock after three sales does not qualify as a "deal" if people cannot get the "deal".
11/14/2014 Price stamp: $399.
Most votes are from when they were including the magazine deal, some were around the time they had the drum deal.
Incredible deal for this rifle at $399.
What happened to the 7 mags with purchase ?
If J&G doesn't want to sell to California that's ok. Republican's got no problems making money off of everyone. So if J&G is Republican then I don't see why they don't sell to CA. Maybe not a very smart one.
California has been lost for a long time. If you want to restore your gun rights move to a free state. We made the jump to Idaho in 09' never looked back.
As a dealer myself. Its a lot of extra work to be able to ship a firearm to CA.
With the free mags or drums this may be the best AK deal right now.
As much as it sucks ass to say this but if more gun sellers were willing to install a bullet button(for a charge of course) and rivet mags for us caught behind the lines in Commiefornia they would be selling a hell of a lot more guns. So many times I would have jumped at online offers but oppressive and unconstitutional laws prohibit semi autos without bullet buttons. As far as I know only Atlantic firearms is the only company which provides this for $49.95 extra
There is probably enough demand across the rest of the country that has lax gun laws to cover whatever California sales could bring in. The state might have a good portion of gun owners, sure.. But not as much as you think they are. Most companies are not going to deal with the CA-DOJ when they have customers lined up in places that don't require a sacrificial child to sell a scary looking gun.
California is the red-hot front line in the grabber's war on the 2nd Amendment. There are millions of gun owners there fighting the good fight, and we should support them in any way we can instead of writing off the whole state. I applaud those vendors that do.
You have my sympathy, but to be honest the fault lies with your citizenry and elected officials, and not firearms vendors that don't want to risk running afoul of the Commiefornia government!
I love visiting California, but I don't know how anyone could live there!
I vote Republican and to be honest many more people are pro gun here than you think. I was born an raised here and actual live in a rural area. Yes a lot of people here are complete idiots but this was the hand I was delt and moving at this point isn't an option. The problem is the liberals in the bay areas and larger cities. My comment wasn't accusatory just pointing out that for those of us who live in states where POS like Feinstein and Polosi yearly try to sodomize our rights we would bring you a lot of business if you put a bullet button on for a little extra.
All that's well and great but impossible buying sight unseen online =(
Adjusting a canted front sight is as easy as drifting out 2 pins, adjusting the sight base and then tapping the pins back in. It's nothing to worry about
Unfortunately, canted sights can just be cosmetic and not functional. Relativity is all that matters: how the point of aim matches the point of impact. You can perfectly zero canted sights. BUT, canted sights can be an indication of how the other parts are put together-- more importantly, look for the barrel being off kilter relative to the receiver- that is HUGE.
Any AK, even $1,000 Arsenals, can & do have canted sights but your odds of getting one are extremely low. The vast majority of the WASR's issues have been corrected so you can buy with confidence. If you do happen to get a canted one Century will fix or replace it if necessary. But as long as your AK can be zeroed it's gtg, too many people think the front sight post has to be dead center & that's not the case with an AK.
These ship from Century with 2 metal magazines. J&G continues to take magazines out of the boxes and sell them separately. Shame on them!
And after they buy them from Century it is THEIR product that they can choose to sell however they see fit. Their company exists to make profit. If they can get $5 by selling separately, then that's their choice. As long as they are upfront about how many mags the gun is coming with, quit your whining.
CDNN plays that game as well. I noticed that CDNN was selling Glock 23 Gen 4's the other day for much cheaper than everyone else. Then I noticed they only had 1 mag instead of the 3 that they are supposed to have.
Police trade in guns usually only come with 1 mag. I got a few M&P40s from CDNN a few weeks back. $310ea including transfer and the guns were super clean.
Police trade in guns from better dealers come with the 3 mags they shipped with. For example GT sells them that way.
Just called J&G and got some conformation on specifics:
1. These WASRs have threads underneath the muzzle nut.
2. They are not parts kits builds, "assembled with US parts" just referring to the FCG, Piston, & PG. Used surplus referring to stocks & hand guards.
3. They are Romanian manufactured rifles.
