Description

The Zastava PAP from Century Arms is an AK-47, with some important changes that make it a much nicer gun overall. The long and fat Yugo M70 sized forend, and the full length stock. These are brand new guns made from 100% new parts, made in Serbia. The PAP is only sold by Century Arms. The internals of the PAP are just like a standard AK, they are not crude like the Romanian and Chinese guns. The PAP is different from many Zastava guns because the receiver is straight cut, not slanted. The furniture on the PAP is made from stained maple, not laminated plywood, and it is very pretty, as AKs go. The front barrel and gas assembly replaces the generally unused bayonet lug with a cleaning rod and sling mount. The dust cover release has a special button that holds it in the open position. This eliminates the frustrating method of forcing the dust cover down to close it, which is usually a wrestling match. The AK-47 is not a target gun by any stretch of the imagination, but we managed to get it into the Lead Sled regardless. The safety on the PAP is easy to engage and disengage with one finger.

These are really fun to shoot, mine is a fire breathing dragon! Crowd pleaser at an outdoor range. You'll piss everyone off at an indoor range with one of these.

A few years ago, you could buy these almost anywhere for $400. Now $600 is considered a deal?

The price of everything else has dropped since the presidential election. Why are these going up?

For one stuff like this gets imported in waves and the prices change, and they turned out to be awesome awesome awesome guns. So I guess they’re a little priced this time around

I remember when they were also going for $1200. Just crazy! Glad I got mine when it did. Right after the madness, another vendor had them with a “shooter’s kit”for $599. Wish I had bought two.

Is there a coupon code or something I'm missing? The price on the Gunprime website is $529, not $499.

Good to see prices are starting to drop down to somewhat reasonable prices on these. The one I have is built well and surprisingly easy to be accurate to 100 yards at a 10" steel gong even with out a brace using a single point sling and iron sights. I would like to get another one but will wait for a better deal.
Oh.. And screw whoever is the hatin coward ass moderator on gun deals that continues to block me from the site just for posting deals like everyone else. I was a member contributed good deals for almost four years and always followed the guidelines yet was blocked by some douchebag! I hope they're reading this so they can do it again cause I'm done with this sorry ass site anyway.. Coward. There's some serious favoritism going on with this site ever since it changed to gundeals from gun.deals. Be advised.

I stopped sharing deals after the first five were promptly removed soon after posting.
I think my last one was $5.99 S&W 15-22 30 round mags from a REPUTABLE seller. I thought that was worthy of sharing but apparently they disagreed. Too bad I am not in China selling boonie hats or "tactical pens" with a two month lead time that probably will never show or Adams Gun Shop selling "rifle scoops" and fake magpul items....then my "deals" would stick around.

Don't let it keep you from sharing. You can still help those who check often. I wondered why I saw deals and was not able to find them a day later. When I find a good deal, I'll simply have to save it elsewhere. Then repost if it's removed.

It's becoming obvious that whoever this moderator is thats doing all this removing and blocking isn't really looking out for the people who actually come to the site looking for deals anymore. They must be raising money for their vaping addiction. Some serious douchebaggery started when the site changed from gun.deals to "gundeals". I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing it. I'm sure it will only get worse. It's really a shame cause for awhile it was a great site to share legitimate deals on. Luckily at this point most of us don't really need the site anymore. I mainly just liked using it to share information and get other peoples reviews.

Where do you go instead?

I mostly just subscribe to email alerts from the best websites I order from and check daily deals myself looking at the actual sites if I'm looking for something specific. There's also Gunwatcher. I also have a ton of good channels on youtube that post deals as they find em as I do myself. After the latest change in the name from gun.deals to gundeals it seems the douchebaggery happening on this site has increased ten fold. From deals being removed for no reason to long term members being blocked and posted deals being stolen with new affiliate links added in. Lots of dishonesty on this site whoever runs it. People are starting to notice it. But like I said I don't really care anymore so its not that big of a deal. I was mostly pissed cause someone blocked my account I had for years without even telling me why and I never did anything against the guidelines of the site other then post deals.

Ive also had a couple deals blocked and some of my comments Ive posted on cheaper prices on particular items have been blocked as well. It is pretty shady. I think its because they get percentage of $$ from purchases made from clicking the links on this site (like how active junky and coupon cabin works) and the deals and comments I posted and referred to did not give them $$ if purchases had been made.

That's exactly what is going on here taz2041. I had an account for years and shared a ton of deals and all of a sudden I'm blocked and can't login with the account name. This BS completely goes against the whole point of the website which is people being able to post the best deals they find. It would be one thing if I did something to go against any policies but I didn't. That's why I call whoever blocked me a coward with no life. Whoever did it hides their contact info and once your account gets blocked you can't even find out why. It's probably some out of shape slob who barely goes to the range and doesn't even care or know that much about firearms. Its actually very pathetic and is probably a sign of the direction this site is going. I hope they're reading this right now. If you have any balls make a comment and reveal yourself. But of course you wont and this account will be blocked also cause you're a coward.. lol! smh.

Not a deal at all. Classic firearms has these for 449 with free shipping and 5 mags.

Centerfire Systems just had them for $399 as well (but sold out now).

Good gun. Buy the Century AK brace for $130, and you have a nice M92 that is fairly accurate, and can be deployed as a home defense gun, range toy, or out in the woods. It is loud, but that makes up for plenty of stares and questions at the range. These are factory made in Serbia like the OPAP, not assembled here with surplus parts. Standard AK nags. Buy the Yugo BHO mags if you want the bolt to stay open on last shot.

J&G sucks. Century ships these with two mags. They've been screwing OPAP buyers and others with their dishonest practice for a while now. That would be fine if they charged less, and with free shipping, but they don't. Which means...F them.

A word of caution about this seller: They took my order for an in stock Sig 1911 promotion in early February. Billed my credit card right away. Then started fairly frequent updates about how they were trying to get the guns, then one with a status of "contacting my FFL" and now not a word for 3 weeks. I contacted them and got the song and dance about they're in talks with Sig and their distributor and not comfortable giving a ship date yet.
In other words they took and order and billed for guns they didn't have and are now having trouble sourcing.
Worse, since the 1911 deal is now over, they screwed my ability to buy from elsewhere with their games.

Yes we ship to Alaska. But the shipping cost is more.

Virgle, I'm not sure about firearms but they shipped me a 75 round drum mag to Juneau for a very reasonable price. You could also try Century; they shipped me a Type 53 Mosin for something like $7.95.

Any of you guys use this as a home defense gun? Just curious how it handles....or if this more of just a fun plinker gun to use 'in the van down by the river'! Never tried a 7.62x39mm in a pistol.

ever wanna hear again? true if it was my life or my hearing it's an easy choice, but way better options out there.

Definitely not a good home defense gun. This is a range toy. I know; I have one and also its short-barreled rifle cousin. Both are a hoot, but not for home defense. As others have pointed out, the round has too much penetration for a typical house setting. Maybe if you live on a ranch, have no children, and aren't worried about winging your neighbor next door... otherwise, this belongs in the "fun" category not the "home defense" category.

And btw this is a great price. I paid around $550 for mine and I still feel it was a bargain at that price. Recall that M92 parts kits alone tended to cost upwards of $600 before this product was introduced.

Way, way too loud, and that is not even the part that disqualifies mine for use in this regard. It shoots straight through a 6x6 fir wood beam! If you have children I would NOT use this for home protection. You will end up shooting through any criminal, through four bedroom walls, your kids' bunkbeds and into the neighbor's living room.

I have a crazy amount of fun with mine, but this is for the outdoors. If you want to properly protect your family, use a shotgun with bird shot. Double-00 buck will blow right through your son or daughter as well.

Edited to add: You will blind yourself in the dark. I mean your eyes won't be able to properly focus on another target for a few seconds. Seconds you probably don't have if there is an intruder in your house.

I was wondering about this too? I would love to get one, but is it too loud? inaccurate?
Should i get an underfolder instead? I have 2 AMD 65's with 16" barrels and they can be a handful, would this be similar?

You can, of course. The size would be perfect. I have two of these. However, inside the house without hearing protection ....well, you will loose some of your hearing that's for sure. It is LOUD. But, when your life is at stake, some hearing loss is minor I suppose. IMO, best AK for the money. It is not molested by the folks at Century as it's a "pistol", therefore doesn't have to be Americanized for import. Totally 100% Serbian. Fit and finish is as good as anything put out by Arsenal. ~$400 is a bargin

And only a single magazine at J&G Sales.
I think they remove the one and sell it separately.
This is a better deal even if shipping is the same.

They do, unfortunately. If an ak comes with 2 mags, they steal one to sell on their website, and way overcharge for shipping. Their deals often look great at first glance, but after shipping, etc. they are not. I must admit to getting an RPK from them-- aes 10-b for $499 plus $24 s&h. It doesn't come with a bipod but i love it. A deal I couldn't pass up.

I got one for Christmas for myself from Buds. It was $419 + $6 insurance shipped.

I voted this up because it seems all the LGS in 100 miles have this for right around $700 as if the date was March 2013.

I jumped on that deal as well. I really love this gun. Fits into my flight bag and thrown into a car easily. I put the krink muzzle break (with included detent pin/spring), a US Palm grip on it, sling mount and a cheap single point sling. Just need to get a better sling for it now. It is almost done... maybe ;-)

I heard the krink break makes it louder, but helps the weapon cycle.
Does it still shoot fireballs?

If you're worried about flash, go with one of the Manticore Arms Nightbrake or Nightshroud or the Krebs. The cone brake is more authentic looking like on the AK74SU.
