Description

Original Chi-Com Vietnam Era Military Surplus Type 56 Chinese SKS Rifles Manufactured at the famous Jianshe Arsenal #26 7.62x39, semi-auto. Includes 10 round box mag and spike type folding bayonet. Well used and will show their history but highly functional and very cool! These are military turn ins so expect some battle scars. Stored in heavy cosmoline.

Update 05/07/2019 - These are the remainder of the very exclusive lot of rifles that we originally offered several weeks ago. We committed to this entire lot of rifles very early in the year but they got separated onto 2 different vessels during the import process and this second batch took far longer to arrive than expected. The good news is that they are finally here and we are happy to be able to offer them.

I dont buy crap from Sweaty Ben at Classic,There flat out crook,s the garbage they hawk to unsuspecting new collectors,Most of what they Grade as Good and up would not grade as fair anywhere else.I got a 91/30 from them a so called battle field pick up when they were selling that crap,And that junk was more like what ever pieces of guns they found laying around the warehouse floor after selling off the junk to the suckers waiting in line ,Honestly my stock was nailed together with 2 and 3 inch construction nails and lots of them and it still would not hold it completely together,So I figured well I bought it somehow im gonna shoot it so i managed to stabilize the stock somewhat,Took it out to the range and I hear laughter and im looking around and I notice there all looking at me and one asked hey where did you get that thing at Classic? I said yea how did you know,They said your not the only one with a gun that looks like that,So I figure by then ive really screwed up buying this gun,So I go to chamber a round and it wont chamber,so I force the bolt as hard as i can banking it with my hand and it closed,I thought well maybe its got a little corrosion in there and i aimed pulled the trigger and it fired just fine ,I was like good I dont look so much like a dumbass now in front of all these guys it works just a bit stiff of a bolt so i figured a little oil and work it back and forth and ill be good,Well I went to eject the round and that bolt was not budging,Not going anywhere as I struggled several other shooters came around me offering advice,So one of them had a rubber mallet and we used that to beat the bolt back and open the action we shot it more and every round had to be beat open,so we inspected it closely and inside the chamber looked like water had say for some ungodly amount of time as only one side of the chamber was clean the other side looked like rusty radiator water had been in it for who knows how long and there was no fixing that chamber with out a new barrel,So I contact Classic and after explaining my situation in a email to them they never replied back to all three of them and when I called I could not seem to get thru to anyone down there as I wanted them to take this pos back ,But apparently that was not happening so finally I gave up,I know damn well they got my emails and calls on there voicemail they did not want that pos back either,So if anyone wants to buy a real battlefield pick up from over in the Balkans that that Russian guy was apparently a carpenter and happened to have a pocket full of nails with him when he was shot down to fix his stock but that dident do him a damn bit of good once he realized his gun would not shoot he must have clobbered them over the head with it as busted up as that stock was,Ill make you a deal Ill sell you this genuine Sweaty Ben piece of Battlefield history a real relic of Russian history the Csar himself carried at least for one hour one day during one of the wars for what Sweaty Ben sold it to me for,But your better off if you buy it using the stock for firewood and removing the barrel and beating the hell out of any invaders with the barrel because your sure as hell not gonna shoot anyone with that so called serviceable rifle Sweaty Ben sold me you will blow yourself and anyone else with in a half mile up if you try to shoot what sweaty Ben calls a serviceable rifle ,I still have that pos classic if you want to look me up in your records it was the next to the last thing you sold me the last thing was that Scope Mount from Sadlac new scope mount and when I got this New scope mount ,All the plastic bags Sadlac packs there parts in were opened and as I was putting it on my rifle I noticed parts were missing so i call you and I get the Classic run around oh theres nothing we can do for you,you need to call Sadlac and tell them about it blaming Sadlac,So I send Sadlac I know well as a reputable company and after explaining what id went thru with classic and how my parts arrived from them to me opened and missing parts they were about as happy as I was,I had a customer coming to get his rifle in the morning who was gonna be pissed off his rifle was not ready.Sadlack sent my parts to me as fast as they could still not fast enough i had a pissed off customer lost business and Sadlak did not send that scope mount to them like that apparently some idiot at classic needed a few parts and raided my scope mount bag and sent me junk out two weeks later after i originally ordered my mount I got it on my customers rifle .Personally I hope no one has had an experience with these morons like this but I sure as hell wont buy a damn thing from them unless they want to replace this pos they called a serviceable rifle they sent me

The price is reasonable to be frank. But I refuse to buy anything else from classic.

I've passed on buying a IWI Galil Ace 7.62x39, AMD 65 Parts Kit, and few others, because Classic Con was selling them! Well I got burned buying (2) Beretta 92s and (3) Star Model BM SA 9mm at the same time. Do I regret buying them? "No". / Do I regret buying them from Classic Con? "Hell Yes!" Burn me once shame on you, Burn me 5x's in same transaction GFY!

It's funny you should say that. I made the same vow because I have dealt with them a few times and never come away with a good experience.

I want this rifle, is it California Legal? Can I order it from this website?

This is Ca legal! A yugo would not be because of the "grenade launcher"

350 is a fair price for a Chinese Type 56, however after tax and $33 shipping it's closer to 400.

It is California legal, Turners just got a shipment today as well. Probably same vendor. $399 and you can buy it on their website for local pickup

Nothing is legal in California; especially some of the people that are living there. The dems love them, though.

After the screwing Classic gave to multitudes of people who fell for Ben Dovers sales pitch on the M39's I seriously cannot believe anyone trusts anything from this company enough to spend their money here.

People were getting M39's with stocks busted in half, rusted solid and badly pitted even after paying for their "handpick" and Classics reply was to read their surplus disclaimer and to go away.

Only after the uproar and pictures being posted on many of the larger collectors forums did these clowns offer any sort of customer service.

Classic is Classic alright, Classic scammers.

Went ahead and rolled the dice on one, $196.70 all in to my door (03 FFL). I'd been wanting to buy something on my 03 since I got it in 2012, never have, and its set to expire Jan 1, so I figured I may as well finally make some use of it, and maybe this will help me justify renewing it. Seems like most of the ones coming through are serviceable, and the next cheapest option is 80 bucks more, and may or may not be any better. If the finish is super horrible, I’ll fill the pitting and duracoat the whole thing. Only really ordered one because Obama and Cuomo don't want me to have it LOL. Will post back when gun is rec'd.

I see quite a few posts of clueless people commenting here that didn't even purchase a rifle. I received mine in less than a week the stock was pretty rough as expected but after breaking the gun down and cleaning it up it was in great shape well worth the price.

I just received my rifles and they are by far the worst rifles I have seen. They are severely pitted and rusted. The pistons had to be forced out with a punch since everything was completed rusted over. No one these were "c" grade. I don't even think i would even rate these a d. Should have been a gunsmith special...

This AD does NOT match their website, on the website it clearly states not all are in working order, The ONLY way I would buy one of these is if they guaranteed they were in working order, other than that you just paid for a wall hanger. And that goes for any vendor. A crack in the stock can be cheaply replaced, stocks on Ebay are $20. And even Classic states NO RETURNS on this item. SAMCO has the best deal right now - free shipping.

I picked up another 4 of these. They should be here early next week. I had good luck with them last time but the reviews of this current batch are making me nervous...

Scumbag vendors!!! I placed an order for two hand picked c grades and never received them. I used my tracking number and saw that my order was in Washington, D.C. My order was sent to the DOJ in Washington, D.C. ! I called RTI and they said it was some sort of mistake and they would send my order out agian the next day. One more week later my order still hadn't shipped and so I called and they said opps will send it tommorow, this continued 3 more times over 3 more weeks. After the 5th time of calling them to send my order I asked for a upgrade to B grade and they said no and I canceled my order.

$199.95 for a rifle that has a cracked or damaged stock, most likely some rust, and isn't in working order??? Put me down for two lmao. Geez, for that kind of money, you can buy a nice M48 or a Yugo M24/47 that will be in much better shape, not to mention the rifle itself will look a lot nicer than these rifles do. I have never understood why people pay so much for these rifles. The ridiculous-looking receivers on these make them look like air rifles.

i get why people buy the sks, reliable, relatively accurate and they're CHEAP- both to buy and shoot. However so much of that reputation is based on the last factor-being inexpensive. When the rifle was 100 bucks, no question. Now a piece of crap beat up rifle from a questionable vendor is 2x that, and ammo has increased in price too. I don't see the deal

Yeah, if they were more around the Mosin Nagant price point, then I would probably pick up a few of them just because they're something different to add to the collection, and they're also inexpensive to shoot. However, with how much sellers are asking for them these days, I would much rather spend less money and buy something like an M48, which is a lot nicer-looking in my opinion.

I think why people keep trying to buy from this garbage vendor is the hope of getting a decent rifle at an affordable price. It's a great rifle, that's why it's still in such high demand. I purchased my SKS 20 plus years ago, and it still fires like the day I bought it after several thousand rounds. Total blast to shoot. It's about half the cost of an AK, fires the same round, and is a reliable rifle. I would skip this meat stick and buy from a much more reputable vendor.

Generally I dont leave comments or reviews, just too busy. Decided that this was worth making the time for. I received my B grade sks from rti in 6days to my ffl, very pleased with the quick shipping. Picked it up from my ffl and noticed itdidnt have much cosmoline on it? Still went home and cleaned it. Knowing that I purchased a b grade sks for $250, I expected it to have some flaws. It does have little rust here and there but all in all very nice rifle. Shoots excellent and this cheap tula ammo works pretty good as well. Maybe some rifles are better than others I reckon its luck of the draw.

Sounds like this batch was bad. A friend of mine bought a grade A (hand picked option) from Classic Firearms about 8 months ago, when the first batch arrived, and it was a nice looking rifle with no rust that had 85%+ of its bluing.

Ordered a B grade and like the others have said it came in as a rusted POS. Finally got Dave (Dave Menke has to be the worlds biggest ass to deal with) to resend another and once again another POS. Sent it back and am still waiting on a refund. Royal Tiger has to be the worst company in the business. Never again will I order from these jokers!

Ande80, RT has said "no refunds or exchanges" to me even though that's not listed on their website anywhere. Sounds like they did both for you. Could you share your order number so I can reference it and say "well why did this guy get one and not me?"

I knew better. I did it anyways. Shouldn't buy from Royal Tiger. Ordered one of these in "B" grade thinking "hey, that should save me on ordering a replacement stock." Well, the stock is cracked anyways (should make it a C) and there's rust and pitting all over the place (grade D, and I'd still be angry about it). Surprise surprise, Royal Tiger doesn't respond to phone calls or emails either. Gonna end up being a fight...

Any company that lifts its description word for word from classic firearms is just straight up lazy.

Would it really have taken more than 5 minutes to write up a description on your own?

Are the detachment mags reliable now? I think the first mags tested failed miserably.

Tapco yes, metal mags and drums have to be tuned, mag tuning is a 5-10 minute job, on the mags if the round cycles too low just bend the tab a little to loosen and the nose diving will stop. Drum tuning (Centerfire) can take up to an hour and requires light grinding - all on youtube. All in all it's worth it - mag tuning 101 worth the experience.
