  • Love this gun, I’ve had mine for prob 2 yrs. The elite is about the size of a glock 19, but the factory trigger is awesome. Sold my glock and bought this, and I just purchased the canik elite subcompact

For any handgun in the $400 range, this one really can’t be beat. I just can’t find anything bad to say about this pistol. You could spend another $50 on an Arex Delta, $120 on an M&P compact, or $200 on a Glock 19; and it still has the best trigger of all of these.

They sold my sister in law a used pistol (listed new) and blamed it on the manufacturer and hung her out to dry. Terrible customer service

No one listens to trolls. If you simply make an ignorant unfounded comment then you are considered a Troll. If you had a bad experience with the company then maybe you should at least give a little backstory as to why you think they "suck" and people should avoid them.
I personally have purchased 6 guns, 4 pistols and 2 rifles from KYgunCo and have not once had any problems. My guns were shipped fast 1-2 days, well packaged and most of all, ALWAYS a good price. On top of the firearms, Ive also purchased a couple accessories and again, no problems.
So if you have a complaint and or "warning" then please share. Otherwise will all due respect, crawl back into your troll cave.....

I agree. I’ve bought a couple of brand new pistols from them. Great customer support and they shipped both of my guns to my FFL within a week of ordering. Great prices and shipping was free.

What is the difference in this and the tp9sa?

I saw the tp9sa was on sale a few weeks ago for 299.99.

the TP9SA is more akin to the TP9SFX... the SA is a full size gun but the decocker on it neutralizes the trigger (kind of like the Walther P99 QA). The Elite is basically a glock 19 sized TP9SFX, meaning no decocker and a glock style trigger.

Correct, but it is only smaller in one characteristic, overall length. A G19 is shorter in ht & barrel, thinner in width & lighter in wt.

    See below;

    Glock G19 Gen4
    Length: 7.36 in
    Height: 4.99 in
    Width: 1.26 in
    Weight: 23.65 oz
    Barrel: 4.01 in

    Canik TP9SF Elite
    Length: 7.28 in
    Height: 5.27 in
    Width: 1.45 in
    Weight: 28.32 oz
    Barrel: 4.19 in

Hows the ability to cc this? Is it daily carry or too big? Man ive been wanting one of these for awhile and this price looks like a deal. Im torn between this size and the elite subcompact (sc) model. Anyone have any comparison expierence they could chime in with? This size or sc?

as long as you have a proper gun belt and a well fitted ccw holster, you can carry this gun no problem. Its like carrying a Glock 19 or similar sized pistols. I would add though, that if you do decide to carry this pistol I cannot say it enough... training, training, training! Not just live fire training but drills for drawing and reholstering your pistol, trigger control dry fire, clearing jams or malfunctions, "combat" reloads, moving and shooting and target identification. So many people think simply buying and carrying a gun is all one needs to protect yourself and your family however if you have no training you only become a liability to yourself, your family and the innocent bystanders. You will get killed or end up killing a bystander then go to prison. All just not worth foregoing some professional and refresher training. Shooting all 48 beer cans you and your cousin Johnny just drank up on the hill, is NOT training....

The SC. This one has the normal size of the TP9 SA or DA. However, the magazine is a bit shorter. 389 is the great price for now, though. I paid 399 (included 25.00 shipping) a few weeks ago from GeorgiaGunStore.

actually the Elite is not the same size as the SA or DA... it's glock 19 sized (shorter barrel, shorter grip) vs. the Glock 17 size of the SA or DA

I don't have a Glock 19 to compare it to. However, my TP9 Elite (not the Elite SC) is on the right of the pictures. It has the same length wise with the TP9 DA and Glock 17. It's a bit shorter in length compared to the TP9 SF in the second picture. It has a shorter grip compared to the TP9SF, DA and Glock 17. I'm talking about the actual size of the gun for CC purpose, not the length of the barrel itself.

Picked one of these up. Just got back from my first range outing with it. The included holster worked great for the range. Trigger is fantastic compared to anything I’ve shot but especially compared to other striker fired guns I’ve shot. Right up there with my CGW CZ SP01. Just a great crisp light trigger. Accuracy was good. I was shooting a plate rack so don’t have a group measurement. Point and easily hit the plate from 25 yards. No drama at all. No stoppages, no ammo sensitivity. Hollow point or fmj all functioned fine. This one’s a keeper!

Love mine, size of a Glock 19 but better trigger

Outstanding trigger out of the box, reliable and accurate. Excellent competition to the venerable G19. My only complaints are there are few aftermarket upgrades out there, and the bore axis causes a bit of muzzle flip compared to the Austrian alternatives.

Looking at this I ended up with Elite Combat Executive. Wow what a nice gun, great trigger. Im impressed with Canik and what you get for the money.
