This is a fantastic deal. I have the SF model and it's great. I had a few issues in the first 300 or so rounds, but have another 200 rounds through without problems. I know others who have the SF, and theirs have been flawless. You cannot beat the value of this gun, considering it comes with a decent range holster, backstraps, etc. I just wish they made 15 round mags for us in mag restricted states.

My membership with SG has been well worth the fees. I have saved at least 30 times what the fee is in the past year. Always had fast shipping, excellent service and good products. In my opinion SG is a stand up company.

Same thing here. I renewed for a second year and got a $20 gift card making it $9.99. Saved that on my first ammo order alone. Not sure why everyone hates and craps all over them they practically give the membership away throughout the year and have some of the best prices I can find. Get ready for shill downvotes tho :/

SG has always done me right. One order was lost in transit (FedEx Smart Post) and they made me whole. The coupons, member discount and free shipping are well worth the membership fee.

Consider this I myself have saved $250.00 this year on purchases. I've gotten free coupons totaling $20.00 I've gotten free ammo on one occasion and if I want to buy a gun and take four months to pay for it I can do that with four pay. Plus everything bought from SG is covered for life. I've got free shipping 15/20 orders. I paid an annual 29.99 membership fee heck I've gotten enough free nature valley granola bars in my packages to cover that. Do what you must it just means more for me.

they just want people to join their lame membership and then cancel order. That seems to be part of their business model. I avoid them at all costs

Sportsman's Guide has always honored their commitments as far as I'm concerned I will continue to business with them.

Nice value but SG is a bad place to do business. Order elsewhere. SG is Con artist

Excellent value. PT92 magazines work fine it this gun with no modifications. 323 dollars out the door from Sportsman's Guide and with 4-pay you are all out of excuses. Friday, January 8th, 2016. You will be sorry later when the crowds catch on this is the SKS you should have bought.

18 round factory TP9SA magazines are now available from a number of vendors for as little as $25, and 20 round can be had for a few dollars more.

maybe im missing something but isnt the pt92 magazine a 10 round? and this gun is a 18 round right? thanks for info, i have the sf in it on the way so i do want a couple more mags for cheap

I'm waiting for the TP9SF. There, that's my excuse.

LOL. Just kidding.

Hmm... a double stacked striker fired 9MM pistol modeled off of other higher quality double stacked striker fired 9MM's previously introduced to the market. Ground breaking and breathtaking? Nope. A modern bargain equivalent to the historically significant SKS huh? Not in my mind. I'm not sure I'll be too sorry later. Good looking gun at a decent price, yes. There are a lot of similar options out there in this market, some even American made. All things even, I'd rather employ Americans with my money.

This is a Turkish P99 clone with slide serrations that double as a cheese grater. It's the primary reason why I returned this IslamoNazi knockoff.

Sorry, but I refuse to subsidize the enemies of Western civilization. Their leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan - is a madman bent on recreating the Ottoman Empire.

Turkey's despicable persecution of Christians would make ISIS proud and their steadfast refusal to admit they perpetrated the Armenian genocide renders them unfit to be a member of NATO and a supplier of weapons.

You do understand our current admin, gives billions of dollars to our enemies worldwide, I don't mind supporting a gun manufacturer who imports quality firearms to the USA.

I would obviously prefer to support US companies that actually care about the consumer instead of companies that put out subpar quality products for an outrageous price. Most American manufacturers charge outrageous prices for plastic guns.

The U.S. Government gave a total of $25,234,639 to Turkey in 2014:

The aid was broken down in the following manner:
Economic
Department of Defense Security Assistance: $1,324,000
Development Assistance: $133,731
Migration and Refugee Assistance: $15,671,682
Nonproliferation, Anti-Terrorism, Demining and Related: $1,255,826
Other Active Grant Programs: $2,552,975
Other State Assistance: $559,000
Other USAID Assistance: $-713,675
Other USDA Assistance: $4,000

Military
Military Assistance, Total: $4,447,100

Your tax dollars at work. Dont be deluded into thinking the Turkish Govt used the aid to promote Democracy, or support our ideology in their country.

I find your comment inappropriate for this forum due to the fact you did mention the TP9SA anywhere in your political rant. As a daily reader, and a occasional comment contributor to gun.deals, I do not frequent this forum for political news, or opinion. As consumers we come here for fact based opinions on sporting, and self-defense firearms, and accessories. I do not dispute, or disagree that the "country of origin" should not be considered prior to buying a product, but that should be left to the buyer to weigh in with such factors as quality, performance, and price.

Didnt feel it was a rant just a response, to a posting which was off topic, as many are, the difference it didn't bother me, its your decision to participate or not. The second half of your comment certainly seems to fit the definition of a "rant" Suggestion in the future, simply ignore comments which seemingly offend you. Or better yet don't participate in any online forum, as someone might post something outside your self imposed guidelines. In short lighten up.

Well that was certainly a angry, venomous reply. I sense you have some deep issues. I'll pray for you, and hope you find peace. God bless you.

Wow really?, I just responded to your post, Im not sure why you felt the need to respond to my initial post in the first place?, again lighten up, You take online forums much too seriously, God bless you also.

Great that leaves you with Ruger, smith and hi point.

What world are you living in? Ruger and Smith & Wesson are a couple good options for sure, and even Hi Point and Keltec are U.S. producers, but they are certainly not the only ones creating jobs here in our country. Sig Sauer, Beretta, Taurus, FN, Colt, Kimber and Springfield are producing absolutely top notch products here in our country.

American 1911's are fine weapons. But where do you think most of the money ends up going? Over seas of course with Glock,fn,sig, most Springfields are made in Croatia,Taurus's are all made in Brazil you must be young or new to shooting sports as were we all at one point welcome aboard none the less. Doesn't matter where it's made its how it shoots is all that matters.

Unfortunately and sadly you are pretty naive. If you want to buy Turkish knockoffs of previous designs and think you have scored a superior handgun at a bargain, enjoy yourself. I'll buy an American made firearm of equal or better quality and thankfully employ fellow citizens in the process. It has served me well in my 45 years of shooting experience and I'm helping my fellow citizen and not supporting a corrupt and duplicitous country, so I feel better personally.

Ok let me start from the beginning.Say I own a company and I live in China I decide to open a branch in North Dakota USA. My company makes 3 billion in profits and I spent 25 million in payroll/overhead for my US branch then I wire the rest of the money to China Is my company American or Chinese?

1 vote
0 votes

If anyone can make $3 billion off of $25 million in labor I want in on that business for sure. Otherwise I'm happy as long as we are using American workers to make American made products? That means American jobs. God bless any foreigners if they make a little profit on top of that and wire it back to their stockholders. Good thing is there are solid American owned companies that have great products. As you noted a couple yourself. Consider a Ruger or Smith for sure if you don't like a Sig, Beretta, Taurus, FN or other manufacturers operating U.S. production facilities.

I finally got to shoot my tp9sa today. I shot 7 rounds to start off from 7 yards. I thought I missed the target completely. Target is piece of cardboard with a black circle drawn in the middle. I went up to the target, all were in the black. WOW. I am buying another asap.

Canik, http://www.canik55.com.tr/series...

They are NATO certified ISO 9001 manufacturer.

I have 5 Canik pistols, all 5 fired without a single issue. There are videos out there how to disable the decocker if you are one of the guys who lives in their Mom's basement. Other review videos, it's your money, spend it wisely, I believe this is a smart purchase: https://www.google.com/search?q=tp9sa+review&num=40&newwindow=1&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj-3fKfwf7JAhVE6iYKHQuRDUoQ_AUICCgC&biw=1914&bih=903...

I get the decocker argument. While very unlikely, it is possible, depending on the holster you use and how you carry, to unintentionally activate the decocker. If you're carrying for self-defense that could be the difference between life or death. It's one reason I went with the V2. The V2 trigger has a double/single type action. Even if decocked the trigger can still be pulled and fired. If you prefer the single action you can set it there too. Best of both worlds.

Just my 2 cents.

I have the V2 and so far it's been flawless. Hell of a pistol for $330. I just wish I could find the mags for $20 or less delivered.

I am betting you're handy with tools, you were wishing for mags priced less than $20 shipped, little Dremel work BAM!!! Shipping included. I believe these are the same mags as the Canik but different mag release hole. https://gun.deals/product/beretta-92-17-round-factory-magazine-jm909p17-1599...

I've actually been considering this option lately. Are there any issues using the mags in a Beretta after the modification?
I really like the Mecgar anti-friction mags. I also like how the Mecgar Beretta mags have the round count stamped next to the witness holes - the Mecgar Canik mags don't. It's a small detail, but it's nice.

I picked up some more TP9SA mags. These ones have the round count numbers stamped. The finish is more of a slick/shiny blued type finish. The base plate also has the Canik logo.

The mags that came with the pistol had plain base plates, a coated type finish, and no round count numbers stamped.

If you operate a dremel or similar cutoff wheel device you can cut the mag release catch hole higher on Beretta 92SF/M9 mags, I've seen them being sold used. Use like a silver Sharpie to mark the area where you think the mag release is out, put the mag in and then lightly tap the mag release to put a witness mark on the mag, then start at the bottom and work up till it fits, the top is the important reference point. Mec-Gar also sells +2 base plates.

WOW!!! How many of the images are stolen from other dealers being used in this ad? 7 stolen from Preppershop.com 1 from Aimsurplus.com and 4 from J&G that are clearly watermarked. Guess they don't tell their paid minions using copyrighted images is illegal when posting "deals" from other vendors.

And the non member price is higher.

I purchased a TP9SA back when they first came out and thought it was a hunk of junk. It had failures to eject and failures to feed, as well as failures to return to battery on multiple ammunition types to include Federal, Winchester, perfecta brass and PPU brass ammo, all 115 grain variants. I fired 300 round of these mixed brass through it in my first range trip and it suffered a dozen malfunctions. I traded it in the next week and bought a Smith and Wesson M&P and have never looked back.

Your the first negative review of the gun I have ever heard, congrats....

It is what it is. I bought one because of all the positive reviews. I have had staplers that fed more reliably than the TP9SA. I thought it was a p.o.s., but ymmv maybe I got a lemon. I find it hard to believe that the gun is really that bad since there are so many people that love it, but MINE was awful.

Already have the TP9V2 on it's way to my FFL and now gun.deals teases me like this? I can't believe I'm considering it.

However with the TP9SF coming out I have a feeling these will settle into this price range permanently when that gets here.

LOL, I know exactly how you feel, I have a TP9SA, very impressed with it at the price point, decided to get a TP9V2.

Don't think you can really go wrong with having one of each, then next year when the TP9SF is released here in the US, get one them too.
