I own two of the VSKA and they both run flawlessly. They are a great rifle for this price point. Everyone used to hate on the WASR-10 when they were $400 now they sell for $1,000 and everyone thinks they are the gold standard.

I have never had to deal with Century for warranty work but I would not hesitate to recommend this rifle.

The VSKA is a terrible rifle, and Century is a shit company when it comes to customer service. I took one in on trade, saw the reviews and sure enough, it was crap. 5 emails, multiple social media posts and absolutely no reply from Century. The bolt had been ground down by Century, so far, the extractor spring was visible. Headspace was insanely far off. After months of no replies, I ordered a virgin Russian bolt and was lucky that it happened to have proper headspace.

I will say, the rifle is now a running SOB. Plenty accurate, but I don’t feel comfortable selling it. I check the headspace every 100 rounds now, but if I were to sell it, and it blew up, I’d feel terrible. Between QC issues and absolutely no support from Century, it’s a rifle I steer customers away from.

Ouch sound like you had bad luck, I have a model with maple furniture and have not had an issue yet.... my SLR-107R is another story all together, complete garbage from the start. I really like the new Zpap and WASR. Most new offerings are all hit and miss though, so its hard to get a solid opinion. I think it's just a bad time for firearms right now, rush produced to meet the craze, A lot of mistakes.

^I agree with everything puncher says, look up reviews for ANYTHING Century built and you will find nothing but tales of bad QC and engineering. The only thing decent they've ever made was their Uzi clone and thats only because someone else made the receiver. You might get lucky but why risk it? Get a PSA GF3 for the price at least those dont explode and they actually will fix issues with the rifle.
