This is strange. CAI imported a some of the Beretta 71s and attached the fake can to get passed import laws. Theyre making replicas now?
It appears to be a 50 year old version of the Phoenix Arms 22LR currently around $180 and comes with a long and short barrel - I realize PA probably copied the Beretta design
I'm very pleased with the Phoenix 22LR and would recommend that one over this
FYI - YOU CAN REMOVE THE FAKE CAN WITH A LITTLE BIT OF TIME AND A FILE.
Scroll about halfway down - a guy put some great picture showing what you need to do. There is a set screw underneath a tack weld - you have to file through the weld to expose the set screw, and then then use some heat to break the loktite on the set-screw. About an hour total.
