$100 overpriced. Have two of these, picked up for $499 a few months back from another vendor. Why would we pay $599 for a hk93 Cai clone when we can pay the same price of $599 for a hk91 Cai clone in 308. I don't blame vendors for price fluctuations, I blame dumbass people who don't keep an eye on price fluctuations and unknowingly buy when prices are high. What the firearms market needs right now is people holding out for rock bottom prices. Hold your wad. It's like the stock market, buy low. Don't be "a mark" or "a fool".

I took a gamble on CAI after reading some horror stories..but i also read about how they have completely changed their ways in how they build guns (they stopped using monkeys) and bought this rifle and i have to say, after about 1300rds of 62gr steel cased wolf .223 it functions flawlessly. I ran it hard until the lube dissipated and after about 900rds of dirty wolf ammo the bolt started to slow down and not travel fully into battery and not function as well but...continued to fire. I re-lubed it and it ran fine again. definitely happy with this purchase and its a solid well made heavy rifle. I've very happy with it

Can't comment on this rifle because I don't have it. But I don't trust century's quality anymore because I was shipped with a full auto c308 or it had trigger problem that made the gun shoots full auto. Sent it back still waiting.

I bought one for $480 + shipping. These are often $499, not $599.

Not terrible price, but definitely not a deal.

These were just $500 just a while ago...

This isn't a deal. This thing was $499 from J&G sales a few months ago. Cabelas and Buds also had it about $100 cheaper than this.

There is a reason CAI is selling these off cheap...its because they have a 51% chance they will not cycle properly as these are precision weapons. I have owned two and both had to be sent back to get the rollers fixed. I quickly traded them for an AR and a Zastave Npap AK...I learned!

Anybody has this? How is the quality? reliability?

A good friend bought one and found it to be out of spec due to roller lock up ware. Correcting it's problem required getting over sized roller bearings installed. It would seem the seller should be gauging these firearms ahead of shipping so the buyer receives an honest functioning weapon.

If these got close to $400, I'd be in. I'm probably only not in right now, because I've bought so many guns recently, I'd feel bad if I did.

Id get one if they were $150-$200 cheaper.

Local gun store says these have issues, he won't carry them. Curious what experience others have with these.

Anyone know if CAI has gotten better at building them with the bolt 'in spec'?

At this price I am so tempted to get another one, but the bolt gap issue kind of puts me off buying remote. I went through about 5 of these at a B&M store and only two were in spec for the bolt gap (the owner was kind enough to let me measure it). I don't know what the odds are, or they just got a poor sigma sampling, but I loath sending things back from my FFL.

That said, I love my C93. C

$499 + shipping and I would still have to think about it.

They had these at my local fleet farm in MN for $550, which was still a lot in my opinion. Now they're up to $899 again. I don't get it

Here in wi still $550 at any fleet and they all have 3 or 4 in stock I don't see why they raised the price now I do not know the aftermark parts and reliability

Hit or miss on these CAI imports. If you decide to pick one up, take a gauge with you to check bolt gap. Picking up rollers, etc. is not terribly hard if you need to fix one. Do a search on the bolt gap issue and all the associated info will make it clear. They can be nice, but you can also get a wanker.

I got one of these middle of last year for $500, from grab-a-gun, its nice but the charging handle was worn out and had to be replace (HK parts are not cheap), bolt gap is spot on, welds are nice-ish. Mags where hard to find and expensive, you wont be able to find them now that's for sure. And Century Arms, I believe stop making these march 2012, so this is the last of the cheap hk clones you will see for a long time.

I purchased one last year for $600 - this is a $200 markup due to current market conditions. If you're lucky you can find used ones for $400 at pawn shops sometimes. The action is very reliable, however if buying a used rifle, you should always inspect the barrel.
