This is pure crap. I got mine and the illumination stop working right away. Sent it back to Amazon and got my $ back.

I do admit the blister pckg is a joke.. Wal-Mart quality...

You do realize that WalMart stocks centerpoint in the sporting goods department.....right ?
Been to walmarts in at least 40 states and never seen one NOT on the shelf or behind the counter somewhere.
I think they are probably cheaper at walmart too.....but don't hold me to that, I'm not one to shop for shitty BB gun scopes.

I bought one of these years ago in a blister pack from academy. It has performed well. I have never beat the crap out of it and I'm sure it's not battle ready but it's solid and has never given me an issue. The thing I like best is that the dot doesn't need the illumination. No batteries, no problem. The dot is still visible in black. It was zeroed at 25 meters out of the box and was spot on. I have tried this on several rifles and it has been great. Handled my 7.62x39 all day long. If you get a good one I think they are good scopes for the budget minded. It's kind of heavy but it's built tough it seems.

you guys realize these are made for BB guns, right? That's why it's half the price of anything decent. ITS MADE BY A BB GUN MANUFACTURING COMPANY! https://www.crosman.com/optics/scopes...

I don’t think these guys realize lmfao! They wanna put these toys on battle and self defense weapons and wonder why they fail in need lol

Picked up one of these for $15 in a pawn shop and put it on my M&P 15-22. The circle dot works well for that, but I’ve not used it beyond 75 yards.

Had this over a year now. "Upgraded" to Bushnell AR 223. This now sits on my Hi-Point carbine. I actually like this optic better than the Bushnell. The illuminated circle dot works very well for me. Had it on several calibers of AR15 both rifles and pistols. Holds zero. I'd buy another.

Don't even think about running a box test on this scope. Zero it in and never touch the dials again. A $50 scope ain't going to have repeatable dials.

Guess I shoulda bought that Leatherwood from SG before they went all OOS on me.

Got one for my AR, works great for plinking 100yds or less. Not in it to win any long distance comps and if it breaks you're only out 50$ who cares.

Good for 100 yards works for what i need ... personally I think some of these guys are stupid spending $600 on a scope i can build a very nice ar for that price ..

1) You can build a very basic Palmetto or Andreson AR for that price, well maybe a little cheaper but still, not a "quality" AR by any stretch. A very basic mil-spec with parts from one of the mass production parts manufacturers.

2) You should go back and study about optics before calling people stupid because you my friend sound very clueless yourself.

"Quality":non-inferiority or superiority of something; it's also defined as being suitable for its intended purpose (fitness for purpose) while satisfying customer expectations.

A fully functional $500 Anderson / PSA meets that definition 100% in my mind as does a cheap optic used for shooting a circle at 100 yards. If you are in a life or death situation, long distance hunting at low light, competition, etc spending $600 on an optic might be justified however this guy sounds like he got the quality he expected for the price he paid.

I absolutely agree. There is nothing wrong with a PSA "mil-spec" AR. OldBitty saying "mil-spec" and associating that with "not quality" is a joke. Sounds to me like oldbitty can't shoot with a cheap gun. I compete with .22LR, and can probably shoot with a cheap rifle better than half the glamboys with their $3000 ARs can. I seriously do not get the AR snobs on here. He can go spend $3000 on a beauty queen AR. Better yet, he can go throw his money at a Daniel Defense rifle or something comparable. This is the same type of person who "only" buys Kimber handguns and scoffs at anything else. Go stuff it, OldBitchy.

Save up some more money to 100-125$ and get a lifetime warranty though cabelas or bushnell

Adjustments are not calibrated correctly. 2 clicks at 100 yards could be nothing or 2” and is not repeatable.

If you want this scope to be repeatable instead of going up or down 1 then back or up and down 4 then back, do this instead, if your adjustment requires 4 clicks, go 14 clicks then back 10, or if you need just 1 click, go 11 clicks then back 10, you will find this and many other budget optics will track much better this way and be way more repeatable.

I was always under the impression that you should sight all scopes in this way.

Y’all probably drool over Vortex while this is the same thing built from the rejected parts bin outside of the Vortex factory.

Not sure about the quality, Centerpoint scopes are made by Crossman. Same company that makes cheap bb guns.

The only Centerpoint scope I've ever seen had dim glass & a crooked reticle [how do you mess *that* up? Seriously...] The basic rule for scopes is to expect to pay as much for the scope as you did for the rifle it's going on; with that in mind, this is suited to a $50 Crosman airgun, as it was originally intended...

Centerpoint is owned by crosman, not made by them, like many comapnies like tasco bushnell even cabelas certain models are contracted out to different companies, this is made in the same plant as some bushnell weaver and cabela scopes, just to a different specification and materials

Clear scope seems decently built warning though the mount that comes with will not be tall enough to clear an a2 style gas block on an ar14

Who the hell shoots turtles??

0 votes

A lot of people shoot them.

They sometimes overpopulate ponds and lakes. That isn't good for the fish population. So people kill them just like any other nuisance animal.

LOL, Some ranges are stuck on stupid and won't allow human silhouettes as targets, so they came out with 'turtle' targets which represent a human torso sans the head so to be politically correct.

No doubt this originated out of California.

Mine held 0 on my ar. Then I put a more powerful scope on.

I'd be interested in hearing some real world experience from someone. I know Centerpoint scopes are made by Crossman, which is kind of scary since Crossman makes bb and pellet guns.

I made the mistake of purchasing a Ctrpt scope once: regrettably, I was too busy at the time it arrived to do more than take a cursory glance thru it; by the time I got around to mounting it & realized the crosshairs weren't straight, it was long past the point of being returnable. Ctrpnt = "airsoft quality." The scope under discussion today [ASIN#: B00AL1Y2IY, Model number#: 72002] is a fine case in point: read the specs, "Center dot 3MOA... Outer 65MOA." A 3MOA center dot is for a CQB RDS; if you're going to put a 65MOA circle on there, the center dot needs to be a MAX of 1MOA so you've got a sharp aiming point for long shots. Doofusses [Doofussi?]... ::)

I've got a Centerpoint scope on my Romanian Training rifle and it holds zero pretty well, I've shot turtles at 150+ yards with it across a lake with the Centerpoint scope. I don't have this particular one, but if you're on a budget and/or are looking for a decent .22 or maybe even an AR scope, Centerpoint scopes would be the way to go

I ordered this just to try a scope like this without having to drop $300 or so. I like it. Good deal and decent 100 yard range scope.
