Amazon.com offers Caldwell Ar-15 Brass Catcher + Free Shipping on orders over $25. Tired of picking up .223 brass from your AR? The AR-15 Brass Catcher attaches to the forearm of any AR with hook and loop webbing and captures the ejected brass. It prevents brass from being scattered around your shooting area. Also works great in preventing hot brass from landing on shooter or other people next to the shooter. Wire frame holds fabric in correct shape and allows brass to enter bag without disruption to bolt function or interrupt cycling. Captures and holds approximately 30 rounds. Convenient zipper at bottom of mesh bag makes emptying simple.

Product Features:
Holds approx 30 rounds of spent brass
Quickly attaches to any AR-15 style rifle
Zipper for easy emptying

Mine works great... some of you are doing it wrong hahaha

Worked great for me shooting prone, as long as I didn't let it get too full.

Great brass catcher. Not sure what issues you guys are having. All 5 of mine work well but I use 10 and 20 round mags, not 30. Keeps your brass from mixing with range brass, allowing you to inspect your ejected shells. It also works on bolt action riles to make brass inspection easy.

I have one of these. After a couple rounds, all it does is cause jams.

I also noticed it really bangs up the deflector. Sorry I ever used this on my rifles. Already had the pic rail version but thought this would be good when sighting in multiple rifles. It is faster but not better.

i concur. i get the brass bouncing off the wire mouth back into the rifle.

Hence the higher price for the pic-rail mounted version, with it's larger & more rigid frame. Have you tried leaving the zipper bottom open so it just acts as a guide to drop the brass at your feet instead of allowing the weight to build up & drag it down against the ejection port? ;-)

Nice idea, Surculus. I'll have to try that.
