Cabela's® Covenant5™ Tactical Rifle Scope offers a 5x magnification power range for engaging targets at varying distances. A 30mm maintube and exposed turrets allow you to compensate for bullet-drop and wind drift, and an integrated zero-stop on the elevation turret brings you back to original zero after a long shot. Windage and elevation adjust in 1/10 Mil clicks. A side-focus parallax knob adjusts to eliminate parallax at any range. The Covenant5 Tactical Rifle Scope also uses an etched-glass ballistic reticle for quick bullet-drop and wind drift compensations using the reticle's hashmarks and dots. Fully multi-coated lenses provide bright, crisp images for positive target ID and precise shot placement at extended ranges. Waterproof/fog-proof. Choose from FFP (First Focal Plane) or SFP (Second Focal Plane) reticles.

Let me redirect you to a vastly superior scope that is currently available at a great price. https://www.bereli.com/riton/... The Riton RT-S MOD 5 Gen2 is a 6-24x50 FFP with Japanese HD glass, and illuminated MOA reticle. It has a MSRP of $569.99, and until recently it was selling for $450- $499 online. Bereli is now selling them for $199.99 with free Fedex shipping. Optics Planet, Amazon, Rainier Arms, and Riton Optics all have great reviews written by customers that paid $450+ for this scope. Cabela's only gives you a 90 day warranty on their POS Covenant scopes. Riton Optic warranty is better than Vortex. They give you a Life-Time Warranty, and send you a brand new scope. When I placed my order I included the hood, and throw lever for an extra $24.98. Check it out, it's a great deal.

Go to raise.com & buy cabeas gift cards for 13.6% off & save about $30. They instantly e-mail them to you. These scopes are 2nd focal plane & on sale because they have a line of ffp out for $50 more.

I wanted these so bad but could find no info. Since then I've bought 2 Athlon Ares 4.5-27 FFP with the christmas tree reticle for $400 ea & 2 Athlon 8-34x56 Argos with the same retlcle & FFP for $275 all out the door prices, all 30mm & all much better scopes & glass. I'm glad now cabelas was stupid & could tell me nothing about these ecept they had a 90 day warrenty.

I would stay away from the entire line of Cabela's Covenant scopes, because Cabela's has chosen to provide so little information on these scopes. Their are no Specification Sheets, warranty info, or owner's manuals available. They have omitted key information, like eye-relief, weight, and windage/elevation data. They could have easily included all that information, but for some reason chose not to. My advice is to go with Vortex, or Athlon. They both have excellent customer service, warranties, and provide detailed information on their scopes.

My advice is to stay away from Cabelas's and Vortex and stick with Leupold, Burris or Nikon. Vortex seems to be all the rage, but the one and only Vortex I will ever have doesn't have near the quality of glass as the three I mentioned.

Good advice on Cabela's. Bad advice on Vortex. Vortex is all I own. Have a Crossfire II 4-16, a Sparc AR, a Strike Eagle 1-8, and a Venom. A friend of mine also uses only Vortex and recently shot a target 1.5 miles away with his Razor on a 8mm Creedmoor. So I'd say the glass is pretty good. And all Vortexes have the same VIP Warranty, equivalent to if not better then Leupold's. I've never missed a target because of the glass clarity of my Vortexes.

Nothing wrong with Vortex.

The largest percentage of postings here are regular retail prices. Just another place for the companies to advertise. I'm not sure exactly how the game works but I think the OP is getting some kind of kickback. @waltdog, both 5-25x50 and 3-15x50 are listed, if one sells out the other remains listed.

I have the 4-16×44 on a sub moa 22. Under that use, if you are willing to use the reticle for everything and never touch the turrets again after sight in, I'd say it is a good deal. Poi does not shift with zoom or parallax adjustment like other cheap scopes I've had. The glass is pretty decent for the price. The reticle is awesome on mine at all magnifications.

Downsides of the one I have:

parallax labeling is WAY off and not by a consistent amount
elevation has crosstalk with windage if you use a lot of travel (22lr at 300 yards, back to 50)
Windage adjustment not repeatable
If you are at the bottom of the eyebox, the image goes blurry (75%of the eyebox is fine, this is easy to live with)

I'm taking mine back within the 90 days. I want to be able to dial for elevation.

I walked into the Cabela's customer service counter, set down my broken scope (no box or receipt). They sent me to Optics who gave me the same model but a different reticle that was in stock. They offered to fix mine and ship it back to me but I couldn't wait. Easy peasy warranty replacement.

Would do you expect for that price? Please don’t say Japan or German quality.

Anyone know anything about this? I like the stats and the price but don't usually trust a store brand.
