When they end in $.88 that means that they are dropping that item forever. They will not carry it again. They've had a lot of things that they were giving good prices as they're trying to match up with bass pro shops.
21.3 oz. for the optic alone is ridiculous. Lots of lighter choices, but will cost you more money.
People buying $100 scopes are not the type who are going to haul them on a 20 mile hike where "muh ounces equals pounds!!" matters.
So many people need to drop this weight thing when all you do is carry a gun from the safe to a shooting bench.

Anyone every have an issue with rebates and gift cards? I.e manufacturer not accepting because you paid with a gift card?

I see they changed the ad to reflect the free mount. I had went to Cabelas but didn't know you had to place it in the cart for the mount to show up. I ordered it over the phone because I saw the free mount on my flyer. . I think it is odd that Cabelas never said anything about placing it in the online cart. They actually told me the free mount on my flyer was a mistake and that they would honor it anyway but had to transfer me to a special department to place the order. Here I thought I was providing info to get a free mount.
It's cheap...no doubt, but is the glass clear at higher magnifications?
It is supposed to be clear. On Amazon's reviews one of the negatives is the long eye relief. Go figure as that is a plus for most.
It has a side parallax adjustment, that should help. I can tell you more when I get mine in about 7-10 days. According to the flyer I got the sale is supposed to last until 4/1. But as a rule, I don't expect the clarity to be great on the higher magnifications on inexpensive scopes. I wouldn't have bought it if not for the price and that it is going on one my cheapest builds.
Got a great deal on this. I got a flyer in the mail from Cabelas for this scope and a free mount $99.99. When I went to order it online the number took me to this scope, but it has a different item number and no mention of a free mount. I called Cabelas and they told me there was a mistake with the flyer but they would still honor the deal.
So I got the scope and mount for $99.99 plus tax, free shipping and paid with a discounted Cabelas gift card and will get a $30 rebate. So I got the whole setup for $57.00. This is the first time I have had to pay tax. We don't have a Cabelas in Florida but we have Bass Pro and they are now under the same ownership.
Anyhow if you want this deal with a free mount just call Cabelas and tell them you got the same flyer. It is a 5x10 doubles sided flyer with several optics listed. It says at the top "Optics Sale - Limited time Good through 4/1/2018"

If you go to the Cabelas website search for the scope by leaving off the SJ and just type in 03606903 and it will bring you to the scope in this deal. Anyhow when I called about it the person on the phone had to transfer me to someone that was familiar with this as I was told they had others who received the flyer and was calling in about it. So they know the flyer states it comes with a free cantilever mount.

They had them on sale a week or two ago. They show up here every so often. When I run out I buy a few more the next time I see them. $100 gift cards for $80. It's an eBay deal. I only buy from svmgiftcards.
I did the same. With no tax, rebate, gift card and active junkie cashback. I'll have this setup for $40.
I wish I had known about placing it in the online cart as I would have saved another few bucks with active junky. The sales tax thing for Florida is relatively new and it sucks.
It is going on an inexpensive 7.62x.39 AR build. I hope it works out as my eyes and iron sights just don't play well together anymore.
Where does it say free mount? Is that current?
Very happy with my 3x9 40 so this was a no brain'er. So this one was 99.99 with a free scope mount. After my coupon for $10 off it was 97.49 picked up at my local store. Can't beat that. I really have no bad thing to say about this. The scope mount is normally $30. Great deal...
So I purchased three.
After discounted gift cards, free shipping, and 12% cashback, I wound up paying under $75.00 for each scope, and that included cantilever mounts that were included for free. If I didn't have to pay tax it would have been $70/each, but that's just sour grapes.
Since Bushnell now includes a lifetime warranty on their optics, I figure it's worth it. I've been happy with my 3-9 scope, and aside from somewhat mushy clicks on the turret it's held up great for me.
This is a deal..great optic for MSR or 223 bolt action.

Nice scope. I have one on another AR. My issue is that my Cabela's in IN did not have the mounts. You had to go online and fill out a form, then wait for the mount to be shipped to you.
i am new to guns, never had a scope, this seems to be in the price range of what im willing to pay for a first one, with mounts. this seems like a good deal, anyone able to comment?

I have the 3-9x40mm and I love it on my AR. I paid $160 in stores because I didn't research other store prices. I am still glad I bought it. If I had the money right now I would definitely pay for this.
Bought this scope this week. Total $119.99 with free mounts. My AR Ruger .223 is shooting awesome at the range. Can hit 4" metal targets easily at 300 yards with this scope. Love it!
Seems like a great price! I like my Bushnell 1-4 scope, no complaints. At this price it's hard to beat. I didn't even notice it came with a mount as well- no rebate needed.
