It's been OOS for awhile now. I bought 4 of them when they were in stock and trust me your lucky they were out of stock. They are useless in low/no light situations. Buy a 20 dollar fieldsport red dot off amazon it your looking for a budget red dot. It you just have to have this one , buy me a fieldsport off amazon and I will trade you one for one.
OOS before the deal was posted.
Picked it up with 4 $15 gift cards from raise to get 10% off.
Be careful....Ive purchased a trs-32 and trs-25 over the last month and the dot isnt round and crisp, its more like a splatter. Maybe Im the unfortunate one to have purchased two lemon optics. But its downright deal killing when you have to pay to return a product you thought was a deal.
Poor eyesight (astigmatism) will cause blurs and splatters.
Probably the most real reason for "defective" red dots.
That's normal for these, Eotechs are the same way.
Amazon Prime has it for the same price, just FYI...might get it a little quicker with the free two-day shipping. Also the hi-rise mount is included there as well.
A strange thing about this optic is that it's light activated. It doesn't seem like there's an on/off switch, when you're not using it you put some sort of hood on it to turn it off. Because of that, apparently as it gets closer to dusk the dot will dim and eventually turn off. Not sure why you would want something that works like this. I don't have personal experience with this, I just learned this from perusing the Amazon reviews...seems like an odd feature, but I am unfamiliar with this type of red dot so I'm not sure if that's standard.
It will adjust to the light. It would have to be pitch dark for it to turn off. The second there is light its on. 5 moa is a bit big. I have one.
I'm with you on the light sensitive on/off.
My local Wal-Mart had this exact same unit (Hi-Rise) for $109.99 on the shelf this weekend! Also scored a new Savage B-Mag (.22 WSM) and a value pack of Remington 22LR / 525 for $21.99. Local Cabela’s and Gander have had none of these items in stock lately. I guess it is all timing... Wally World even skipped the NICS Check w/ my CCW although some of the local “big” stores still conduct a NICS even though it is not required in here MI.
Thanks SG, this site ROCKS! I have acquired many, many hard to find deals via “My Alerts” so I thought I’d give back a little… Good luck!
Retails at Wal-Mart for $109.99 if your local store has it in stock.
I have both this and a trs25.
They both have been great shooting 223, 9mm, and 22lr.
If you are buying this optic for low light conditions such as self defense at night well you got other needs. This aint for you. Mine work great but for cheap range optic.
