Looking at getting my first Ar-15. However with that being said, I want a quality one that will last. I've heard recently that Bushmaster has really gone down in terms of quality, but for $550 and the included optic, does this make it a decently good deal? I just want some people's opinions of this rifle or any other AR's they would recommend. Thanks.
I just picked up a Bushmaster Carbon ORC 2 months ago for $599 with a $100 Cabelas gift card and 100rnds of Remington ammo. Getting an all-metal one for this price is a steal!
As for quality, I'm extremely pleased with my rifle. I've put over 1000rnds through it so far and it's flawless (and very accurate). Bushmaster has gotten a bad wrap primarily because of the very Carbon 15 model I bought, but after a bumpy start they changed the materials used and seems fine now. I haven't heard many bad things about them beyond the Carbon models.
As always, you get what you pay for. Can't compare it to a $1k AR, but you aren't spending $1k. I think you'll find it's safe, durable, and accurate. What more do you need?
Good deal from a terrible retailer.
This is a really good deal and I know we all have our grudges on CTD price gouging about 9 months ago. This price cannot be beat after doing a little browsing on other sites.
I added this and a colt and the prices just blew my mind. Any ideas why on this site I can't see the deals I'm posting unless I type it in the search box?
MSRP is only 1k. The seller is misrepresenting MSRP at $1500 when it is not. These sold routinely for $800 before the massive rush so you would be paying almost 2x the pre-rush price. Just an FYI.

Insane deal in my book! I couldn't be happier with my Bushy ORC at $834 without anything but one mag and the risers. Saw one sell at a gunshow for $1500 after the Newtown killings. I'd buy them all day long at this pricepoint. Two thumbs up to CDNN (and no, I don't work for either Bushmaster or CDNN)!!!
