The latest in the line of proven Fullfield rifle scopes from Burris®, the Fullfield E1™ Rifle Scope combines outstanding optical performance and accuracy with an advanced reticle. This scope starts with high-grade optical glass lenses fully multi-coated with Burris' index-matched HiLume® coatings for optimal low-light performance and glare elimination. The scope's advanced Ballistic Plex E1 reticle features marks for determining holdover at distance and hold-off for wind drift, for dead-on aiming from 100-500 yards for nearly any big-game hunting cartridge. Built in a solid 1-piece, 30mm outer tube, this sturdy scope features a double internal spring-tension system that holds zero through the shock and recoil from the heaviest-recoiling calibers. Nitrogen-filled design provides waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance, even in even in cold and rainy hunting conditions. The finger-adjustable, capped, low-profile turrets adjust easily in the field, offering positive steel-on-steel adjustments to ensure repeatable accuracy. You can even order a custom turret (not included) matched to your preferred cartridge's ballistics from Burris for even simpler distance dialing. The updated, easy-to-grip power ring turns easily (even with gloves) while the eyepiece does not rotate so it can accept flip-up lens covers. Manufacturer's lifetime warranty.

The glass on this is comparable to an old Leupold VX-2. For $150 it's the best budget 30mm 3-9x scope on the market. I bought an inexpensive factory rifle/scope combo and figured out quickly that the scope that came with it was garbage. This Burris E1 is the perfect replacement. Note, it's made in the Philippines and not China.

Excellent scope for $150. The glass is comparable to a much higher end scope.

Why this over the Leupold American Marksman 3-9x40 for the same price

Leupold has a 1" tube and Burris has a 30mm tube.

Can't go wrong with either one. Both companies have fantastic customer service.

I bought one and had a chance to shoot it this weekend. Its not top tier glass by any means but for $150 its a great scope. I put it on my barn rifle which is a .204 and will use it to smack unwanted critters around the farm. It turned a crow into a 5ft ball of feathers this weekend. The edge distortion is actually pretty bad but i figured its not like I am trying to range shit with this, its a cheap hunting scope. Seems rugged and the turrets are clearly marked and you get positive feedback when adjusting it. Passed my box test at 100 yds. I would get it, would make a good scope for hunting or plinking. The light transmission could be better, i shot another rifle with a Trijicon on it and it was much brighter, but the scope cost a lot more.

I bought this 2 weeks ago or so. I am not that impressed. I have direct comparison with Nikon P223 BDC600 4-12x40mm and Primary Arms 4-14x44mm. When put on same magnification clarity is roughly comparable but edges of lenses distort so much more on Burris. And distortion area extends towards the inner part of the lens more than I expected. I can barely notice any distortion on other two scopes. Ballistic reticle is tiny but you get used to it after some time. Good thing is that drop at 200 and 300 yards matches Winchester 5.56mm (White Box) and PPU 5.56mm XM193 spot on from 16 inch 1:9 WW HBC rifle.

Check the numbers when you order because the website has listed three different options today. I ordered, cancelled the first order, read again, called Customer Service to confirm Cabela's item #IK-713953 is for Burris model number 200322, which is for the illuminated ballistic BDC plex reticle, then ordered two of them. If wrong, they'll be going back. Note that the Burris website also says 1 inch (25.4 mm) main tube and Cabela's says 30mm, just to add to the confusion.

Scopes just arrived. While they are the 30 mm tubes, they are not illuminated. As my post above stated, I called and spoke with a CSR and he said "illuminated" - so much with wasting your time and actually calling to verify info. Again, 30mm main tube BUT NOT illuminated BDC plex reticle.

Did they have the new Burris logo/markings or the old, as in the picture?

Sorry, already back in the mail to Cabelas. However, I believe they were just as pictured.

Excellent scopes but this one DOES NOT have illuminated reticle as the above review states. Still a great deal

Right you are. My mistake--comment edited accordingly. Also has an excellent lifetime warranty.

A nice price on a very nice scope--one of my favorite budget optics on an AR-15. Clear, bright view, etched ballistic reticle, sturdy, holds zero well.
