These aren't water proof, despite the gasket they leak like a sieve.

glorified storage bins.. if you need something other than for organizing just pony up the money for a GI can.

I got one on sale for 2.99 and feel like I over paid..

1.99 is probably what they should be priced at.

Buy it for what it is, not for what you wish it was. It is a plastic ammo box. I have about 20 of them for storing and sorting ammo and different accessories.

I have loaded them full with 9mm ammo and carried them around just fine, haven't had anything break or crack. I also have not dropped them, so if you plan on slinging and banging any plastic ammo boxes around, don't expect them to last or hold up.

Edit: Why do people expect plastic ammo boxes to be waterproof? I ran a shower head hose at full power against the top and sides of mine at a downward angle for a few minutes and no water got in. These will stop any rain or semi downward approaching water from getting inside. Is it going to keep water out when submerged? NO! Again, it is a plastic ammo box. The description also says that is resists water, there are no claims made that it is waterproof. Down voting a product for a feature it doesn't even claim to have...

It's like complaining that a Nissan Versa Sedan doesn't come with run-flat tires, kevlar panel inserts, and bullet resistant glass.
