Sorry I had to laugh when I saw the updated/discounted price. Dropped a WHOLE 6 dollars. I know it seems I am a smart a-- but I just don't get the whole marketing thing on this firearm. Just me.

GYM is correct. These have been around for a while and after all they are used surplus. I use to have a thing for ex military firearms but moved back into the Modern guns. So no judgement on what people buy. Unless someone is a collector I see really no reason for the price. Especially when what you get is what you get period. Can anyone determine what these actually sold in bulk when Governments dumped them as obsolete from their arsenals. Lots of better options even on a used modern handgun( or new) these days. Just IMHO.

They aren't selling, been around from Classic for months. Make them 225 and they will move, they aren't worth any more.

The Bulgarian that I've seen have had awesome build quality. They are a bit larger than the P-64, and are easier to handle. As far as stopping power, I've seen makarov in both Buffalo Bore and Cor-bon. Wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of either. ..

I've bought an East German one years ago in excellent condition. The guns’ classic look never gets old.

There is two kinds of people that want military surplus stuff. The first wants cheap stuff. The second collects or enjoys this kind of stuff. The collector will always buy and dealers will play the waiting game in this as it will eventually sell.

Yes, but these aren't USSR/DDR collectible milsurps, they're Bulgy police surplus: virtually no collector value, & WHERE THE HECK IS THE 2ND MAG! These were all issued w/ 2 mags, what did they do, open the box, pull out the holster & spare mag & sell them separate? "Classic" has been selling off the old Samco Global inventory that was bought at the bk auction for pennies on the dollar at a premium, & laughing all the way to the bank. This is a $200 pistol, tops! A spare mag for one will set you back $30 these days, so factor that into the sale price...

Stay away from Southern Ohio Guns with this one. They claim Ex condition, even got hand picked, not even close. Really fun gun but very hard to find 9x18 around here.

When these hit $225 I'm in. I'll bet Black Friday could make that happen. There are likely plenty of these still left out there and everything else has fallen at or below Obama prices since the election. I have two of these I bought at $225 10ish years ago. Would buy another pair at the right price. I CCWd one for a while. It's monstrously heavy, but easy to hide. Simplespsip

I was too late to get in on that deal, but I remember when they were $150 with both mags [one in the gun + spare, just like they were issued] and a used pig- or horse-hide holster if you shopped around...

They are heavy and uncomfortable to shoot, but built beautifully, fun to take apart, and a must have for any surplus collection; unless you already have like a Russian or East German. Decent deal these days, but I think we will see more of them. Mine is dated 1994 I think.

these routinely go for 3-500 on gun forums,I remember cases of them sitting on the floor at gun shows for 100 bucks, maybe 15 yrs ago. Honestly they are too heavy at 25 ozs for what they are, and just don't have the stopping power or bullet variations of the 9x19.
Buds just had some for less with 2 mags, and both grips, but are sold out.

Woow and u thought I paid too much in 1998 for a Russian made for $125. My only issue with it I can't find any Ammo locally.

Too bad not C&R, would order to my door in a second. Driving across town and paying a transfer is just not quite as appealing. Surely these are great. I have the P83 and P64, both are excellent shooters. The weight of these pistols are the only downfall for concealed carry. I do still carry the P64 over my LC9 anyway though.

I would jump on these. Saw SOG had them for preorder. Apparently unissued condition. These will appreciate in value for sure.

I don't really like surplus guns, but I'm always super tempted. What if I can't get this is 6 months? What if it doubles in price?

These will definately go up in price , All surplus arms have went up in price recently. Seems like less and less surplus is being imported because of all the import bans going now. I still have 3 Russian sks Paratroopers I paid 49.00 Dollars each for , try finding even a common China made one for that now.The days of cheap surplus arms is a fading memory my friend.

Fading memory indeed. Russia never made paratrooper SKS's. Nobody did. The only SKS "paratrooper" models were some commercially made Chinese SKS's.
