Now with the new updated Pelican toolbox. These kits contain the tools a gunsmith or armorer needs to perform full maintenance and repairs of these rifles in the field or shop. Each tool is designed to do its job in the simplest, most effective manner to maintain and repair these guns correctly – and save time doing it.
Standard Kit contains the tools needed to work on the AR-15 and the M16A1 through A4.
Premium Kit contains all the tools of the Standard Kit, plus an additional 11 items necessary to repair and maintain the M4 carbine as well.
Both kits come in a custom-fitted, hard-side toolbox from Pelican that’s made from nearly indestructible molded polymer resin and meets mil-spec MIL-STD-810F. The newly updated toolbox now features aluminum rail slide system that allows each tray to slide out into a secure position for easy access and can still be removed if desired. The Standard kit’s foam inserts are pre-cut with spaces for the M4 tools, so you can turn it into a Premium Kit anytime simply by adding the Upgrade Kit.

I use these pelican tool boxes at work (not this kit, just the boxes) and they are really nice, however, the tools go everywhere once you start to roll the cases. Drawers sometimes get stuck and small items have a tendency to fall into the bottom unless they fit very snugly. This is still overpriced and unless you are a traveling gunsmith or absolutely need to take every tool to the range when you go, this is overkill for tools that will just sit on your bench.
The tools are a few hundred are they charging $1,400 for the box? I dont see the value
This kit is not even near worth $1800 not even $1000 more like $500, i’ve seen whole gunsmithing set ups less than this.
6/18/2022 - That Gen 2 Pelican™ 0450 Mobile Tool Case alone is pricey. The lowest price I see it being offered for is $935.00 and that doesn't include any foam for the trays. The seller offers what they call a "Standard Kit" with 11 fewer items for $1,599.99. I don't have a comment to share regarding what I think of the value of either kit. I just wanted to point-out that the cost of the tool case with custom cut foam tray inserts is a large chunk of the total cost of the kits.
